This place used to be a Taqueria El Grullo which closed a few months ago. We got the chipotle chicken and the classic. The sandwiches are pretty solid and they had a variety of sandwiches. The inside is a bit awkward since they still have all the decorations from the taqueria but for a quick sandwich spot, it had a lot of potential.
There’s a sign in the front that says Mexican and Central American cuisine which we didn’t see.

This is a small local chain serving a great variety of deli sandwiches with fresh ingredients. I had the Dirty Bird on soft French bread and my wife had the tuna and avocado on sourdough. Both were fresh and tasty. We took them on a picnic, so we didn’t add anything else, but they also offer a variety of sides, chips and cookies. Every now and then they give out a free cookie!
The staff was efficient and polite, and the store is conveniently located off of Saint Francis in Sunnyvale where you can eat outside on a nice day.

Placed the order online at 1:06 pm through an app. Estimated to be ready by 1:36. I arrived at 1:33, and no one was here. A stranger outside said the worker had just left. When she returned at 1:54, the worker was not polite in addressing the issue.

Not sure what happened to The Don’s Deli standards. It was not what I expected. Its a deli with a South American twist, please take the sign down it is an insult to THIS Salvadorian. The place was not clean and cluttered. Still has old Mexican restaurant furniture up and design. Even Lopez next door re-did it all. It is all about first impressions. It was dirty and hopefully I do not get ill from eating the food I regret ordering. I will not be returning here again! If you are going to service customer at least be clean and adhere to food safety standards. Get your act together, can’t support a local business in this condition.

This is literally the best sandwich place I know. They have a huge selection with a ton of vegetarian/vegan options. The sandwiches are fresh, inexpensive and a good quantity. They do half sandwiches and platters as well if you are planning an event. There are soups, sides and daily specials.
I would highly recommend the falafel sandwich and vegan chicken sandwich. The fire pepper sauce makes all the difference!

Wow – one of the best Sandwich spots we have found in the entire Bay Area. 5 stars for freshness of the bread, the creativity of the sandwiches, the amazing taste, great staff, and awesome outdoor area you can enjoy your sandwich in. We will definitely be returning. Come here if you’re looking for a great sandwich for a good price, in a good area.

We were really impressed with the freshness of the bread. We tried the sourdough and almost got another one! They have plenty of offerings ranging from healthy and delicious – to maybe not so healthy but equally delicious. We really enjoyed this place and will be returning! We recommend the Pesto Chicken sandwich or the spicy chicken. I mean, it’s hard to recommend one because they all sounded so amazing. Try for yourself!

This is located one street over from Murphy Street, which is the main downtown area of Sunnyvale. It’s located in a wide open plaza where you can eat and walk around. There isn’t a lot of people or trouble in this area. It’s really quiet. Plenty of places to sit and eat.

Customer service here was great! Everyone was super nice to us. The prices were definitely fair. I think we paid 21 dollars or so for 2 good size sandwiches.
In conclusion, we will be returning. This is one of the top sandwich spots in the Bay Area, without exaggeration!

We ordered in from DoorDash. The photos on the ad looked amazing. Our mouths watered waiting on our food to get here. When it arrived it looked disappointing but looks can be deceiving. They were not. Sandwiches were dry and lacked real flavor outside of the salty meats. We got The Melt and The Cold-cut Combo. The Caesar salad and potato salad were good. The Mac and cheese wasn’t and the fries were decent at best. Maybe this place is better in person.

I came here for lunch on a Saturday and there was only one person working there so it took like half an hour for my sandwich to get made. It was a pretty good Reuben but it wasn’t half an hour waiting good.

Great place to get sandwiches in Sunnyvale. A lot of vegetarian options available as well. I recommend getting the Don’s Delhi for a good mix of spice & flavor.

Great vegetarian options! The vegan chicken and falafel in the sandwiches were really good. They have good variety and a good selection of sauces/spreads to choose from. Relatively inexpensive.
