I can’t say enough great things about The Don Ramen Bar! We found this place by chance, as it was near a Dr visit we had, and we’re so glad we did. Right when we walked in, we were greeted so kind and warmly, it was as if we’d been there before. The art & decor set such a fun, yet cozy vibe, and the chairs & booth cushions are insanely cushy and comfy too! We had the absolute pleasure of having Vince, the owner, as our server; he is such a sweet, down-to-earth person!! Anytime he addressed any of us at the table, including our eldest that came with us, he spoke directly to each with such intent and kindness; he also took the time to explain the entire menu to us – and goodness everything sounded delicious.

Now on to the food. We had the takoyaki and fried spicy edamame as appetizers. We’ve had both of these plenty times before, although fried was new to us in the realm of edamame; it gives such a new element to the already amazing treat! It added a level of almost smokiness to it that I can’t quite describe, but I’m nearly addicted to now. The takoyaki, was the best hands down at any of the many, many places we’ve tried in several cities & restaurants. Honestly, we couldn’t even get a pic before we demolished almost the entire serving.

My husband and I got the Don Tonkatsu Ramen, both with shiitake mushrooms and only mine with the Hot Bomb. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The layers of flavor really come through in the decadent broth, and the chashu is buttery soft, so flavorful, and just melts in the mouth. The shiitake mushrooms have a sweetness to them that I didn’t expect, but add another depth of flavor that compliments the tonkatsu broth so well.

Our eldest got the spicy salmon roll as her main, and we got the surf and turf to share because it sounded insane! And it was! Steak is grilled to order, and is juicy and flavorful, but doesn’t take away from the sushi roll itself. The spicy salmon was great too, nice crispy cucumber with the classic salmon and spicy mayo combo we all know and love. The salmon roll is the only thing I didn’t get a picture of, our daughter was far too excited to warrant having her wait for a photo lol!

Overall, everything was a 12/10 and we cannot wait to go back to try more! We don’t live close by, so we’ll be dreaming until we get back to EP for our next fix at our new go-to ramen spot.

I can’t say enough good things about this ramen bar! They have always taken care of me and my buddies from Fort bliss. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuinely warm, attentive customer service that makes you feel like a regular — even on your first visit. The staff is always friendly, quick to check in, and happy to make recommendations.

What really sets this place apart is the ambiance. They clearly take pride in creating an atmosphere that feels fun and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot where you can have a relaxed dinner, a casual date night, or catch up with friends without ever feeling rushed.

Every visit has been consistent — great service, great energy, and an environment that makes you want to stay a little longer. If you’re looking for good ramen paired with top-tier hospitality and a welcoming vibe, this is the place. Highly recommend!

The Don Ramen Bar is absolutely fantastic! Our group ordered the Don Tonkotsu Ramen, the Don Japanese Miso, and the Shoyu with Chicken — and every single bowl was delicious. Each broth had its own unique depth of flavor, clearly made with love and care.

We also tried the Takoyaki and the Don Mussels as appetizers — both were amazing! The flavors were spot on and perfectly prepared.

The atmosphere was inviting from the moment we walked in. Vincent, the owner, greeted us warmly and seated us right away, which set such a welcoming tone for the evening. Our server, Josh, was incredible — friendly, attentive, and really made a great impression on us.

We left full and happy, already talking about our next visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, flavorful ramen and excellent service!

First, the service as soon as I walked into the door was already a 10/10. I had been craving some good ramen for months, and this hit the spot! I was already digging in before I remembered to take a picture, but the presentation was also amazing. I came for a solo lunch and sat at the bar. Vincent was so kind, and he made sure I had a great experience. He explained the different types of ramen they served and gave me a run down of the appetizers. I noticed that everyone who walked in the door was met with a friendly greeting and had very attentive service. The art and overall ambiance of the restaurant was also very cool. I can’t wait to come back and try something new!

We arrived after searching for the eponymous “noodle.” The Don Ramen Bar has a really enthusiastic approach to border fusion cuisine while offering some traditional noodle bowls as well.

The takoyaki features small and perfectly fried crispy octopus fritters with a nice dressing of bonito flakes and okonomiyaki sauce. These are significantly spicier than most tako in all the best ways. Served piping hot from the kitchen, these rival anything from Boston or SF.

The birria or Chuco Ramen features an elegant, clear beef broth with thin, chewy noodles, crispy meat, cilantro greens, red onions and all the air of a perfect street taco–but as ramen.

The Kimchi Tonkatsu Ramen with tofu has a sweet and garlic-salt broth that finishes smoky, topped with seared then flamed chashu, the usual suspects and a delightful crisped rice topping.

Vincent was a pleasure to talk with during the Monday afternoon lull. This restaurant is a family project and it shows in everything from the menu to the staff and the amazing art on the walls. The Sailor Moon mural is kawaii and moe.

Desu, if there was one thing The Don could improve, it is perhaps to show more obscure anime, at least sometimes. Owari da, A little Ninja Scroll or Expelled from Paradise never hurt anyone. This drops it from 6.294 Stars to a 5.

We will drive the 200+ miles again to try everything we ate plus the bao buns and perhaps the entire menu.

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience here tonight! I was wanting some hot soup and after googling some places, I came across Don Ramen Bar. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and told to choose our seats. Our server, Valentina, was amazing. She was extremely attentive, gave us excellent recommendations, and was very personable. She has the perfect attitude as a server. She joked around with us and brought us everything we asked for. Truly had such a great time here and we cannot wait to come back! My husband got the Chuco ramen and I got the Kimchi Tonkotsu (the kimchi was so so good, my favorite part of the ramen). We also ordered the takoyaki which was good, but for my personal taste, it had too many fish flakes that took away from the flavor.
We both really enjoyed the flavor of both of our dishes and the portion size for the price was definitely worth it. 10/10 experience, I highly recommend coming here and when you do, ask for Valentina to be your server!

My daughter and I tried out The Don this evening and found it a great place! The wait staff was exceedingly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It was easy to tell they took pride in their workplace. There were several cool art pieces, which one of the staff members shared was the work of the owner’s family member.

We order the steamed pork gyoza, the Don Tonkotsu Ramen with the Fire spice level, and a kid’s ramen with a the tonkotsu broth and egg. Both bowls were full of flavor and delicious! The gyoza was good too!

We will definitely be visiting again in the future! Thank you for a great dinner!

Oh, they also told us that they host Karaoke on Sundays!
