We chose this location because they had an Oasis tribute act listed who “didn’t show up”. We prepaid as a ticketed event and got the impression that had we not complained we would not have been refunded.
In short, I would not return in a pub capacity, but would recommend eating here if it’s less busy
The pub isn’t very good. Before Apple took under control of the kitchen, this pub was only a place where people were getting drunk any day of the week. I was a bit afraid to go inside for a meal. For that reason, I can’t give 5 stars to the Pub, but I give 6 stars to the food.
The band was good along with the drinks. The staff were nice and put safety first by the looks of it. Think a guy was on drugs and they through him out pretty sharpish.
Nice pub guys. Shame we are not that local.
We were so well looked after and Apple’s food was so delicious. The sauces are so authentic and tasty. This wins hands down the best Thai in Watford. We will definitely be regulars!
The decor and atmosphere in The Dome bar, after renovation, was also surprisingly good. Our only point of feedback is for the bar itself to put on a wine list and/or stock a selection of bottles of wine please as they only had mini bottles of Merlot available.
Food: 0*
Over fried starters soaking in grease, uneatable vegetables that serves only decorative purpose. The meat is soggy, and doesn’t taste fresh at all. Looks like only the chefs skill is cutting carrots in shape. After my 3rd visit I have tried the entire menu, and unfortunately been disappointed by every single item served. Portions are tiny. They can’t even cook rice properly, came all dry and stuck in one piece with only the middle being hot.
