I’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost 20 years, and it’s always been one of my favorite spots. With the new owner taking over, I’m happy to say the welcoming atmosphere and good food are still here and the same, you’ll just have to be detailed on your orders, we missing mr.kim ! Calling us Muchacho as soon as we enter the door. The new owner is very friendly and seems genuinely committed to keeping the place great. It’s nice to see the tradition continue while adding a fresh touch. Still highly recommended! I got the gyro special today and the fries still seasoned well

The Dog Walk is a quick serve restaurant tucked inside a strip center at the south west corner of Milwaukee Avenue (Rt. 45) and Palatine (Willow) Road. I have been there quite often years ago, but surprised my spouse with a visit last weekend.
The food was just as delicious as I remember it and the owners, who are new, stuck to the old recipes that were wonderful.
I had a Gyro Burger (Gyro and a hamburger served on a toasted bun)and the spouse had a Gyro and they were excellent. The menu is perfect.
There is minimal seating so you will most likely take your meal home or enjoy it in your car, but it is well worth it. Interesting note that sales tax in Prospect Heights is 9.5%, which is substantially better than all neighboring suburbs!

Local hidden gem. Good portion for a chicken breast sandwich & Added mozzarella. Fries are fresh and their fountain drink is refreshing.

Listen I am visiting from Atlanta and randomly found this place. Wow. The hot dog was FIRE. Service was awesome, the lady was very attentive, and the atmosphere is nice. I would eat here again!

I love this place, good customer service, great tasty food, you can see on the walls they have certificates for best food in the area. My go to is the grilled chicken sandwich with everything including cheese and hot peppers, sounds basic but it’s an explosion of flavors and freshness. Highly recommend.

Guys, it’s a sad sad day! Kim retired and whoever took over is horrible! The food was GROSS! The bun on the hotdog was HARD as a rock. The cheese was nacho cheese not the real cheese they use to use, and the meat was dry and rubbery. To top it off they messed the order up and don’t give us two hot dogs. This establishment has been a staple in the community for decades. We have been coming for the past 30 years ourselves. This was unfortunately the last time. So long Dog Walk, you had a good run.
