Ordered a bLt and a burger. Both came on a bun. The bacon was great. Lettuce was blah ville. Tomato was ok. Burger was ok.
Let’s start with the food: greasy, bland cheeseburgers with no flavor. The buns were the only redeeming element. Fries were overcooked and tasted like they were fried in motor oil—maybe last week’s. The hot dogs, which you’d think would be the one thing they’d get right, were a sad joke. Lukewarm, watery, rubbery messes. Not grilled. Not boiled. Just…floating.
But here’s what’s truly appalling: the owner’s bright yellow, branded Smart Car is proudly parked across the hash-marked ADA access aisle like it’s part of the decor. I approached the owner and his wife inside to ask about it. Their response? “Yeah, we know we’re not supposed to park there, but people park and go to the casino next door and stay all day.” So the solution? Take away essential access space from disabled people—because they feel entitled to it.
As a multiple amputee who uses a wheelchair, I struggled to get in and out of their establishment. These spaces and access lanes aren’t optional—they are legally required for people like me to have a chance at participating in everyday life. The photos attached to this review speak for themselves.
Entitled, unapologetic, and indifferent. That attitude alone deserves a boycott.
They offer a handful of specialty dogs, such as the Carolina (onions, mustard, chili, cole slaw) or you build your own. The hot dog itself was long in size but average in taste. The skin didn’t quite have the snap I expected, maybe because of how it was cooked. It was a boiled hot dog and the bun came straight from the bag. It wasn’t even steamed. Chili had a little heat to it, but not overpowering. Service was fast. Staff is not overly friendly. It was a quick transaction.
If you are looking for a quick, inexpensive bite and not looking to be wowed, it’s an ok stop. Just don’t go thinking you’re going get an awesome dog because they have Sabrett and Nathan’s branding everywhere. French fries were less than average, as were onion rings.
