Super funny, got an Uber to go from crapes and capes to go to basilisk like 12 min away because one of the players inside said that was their favorite spot. I get in the Uber and the guy just tells me to cancel the ride and to walk across the st to dog house because he’s been having dreams of it. Im super spoiled having some of the best hot chicken places in the country in my area near NJ so im a bit jaded. Solid 7/10 exsperiance

The Doghouse in Portland offers a fun twist on classic favorites. I ordered two Chicago dogs along with their cheesy kicking fries. The plating and overall presentation were outstanding, and you can tell they take pride in the way their food looks when it hits the table.
The Chicago dogs were good, but I felt the build could have been a bit closer to a traditional Chicago style. They were not bad by any means, just not quite at the “great” mark yet for that authentic Windy City bite. The cheesy kicking fries, on the other hand, were full of flavor and definitely hit the spot.
I look forward to trying more on the menu next time!

A delightful place to get satisfying comfort food to-go. Service was pleasant, efficient, and properly masked for pandemic preparation and plating. I was craving a burger during a long absence from visiting carts, and the Doghouse came through with the Momentary Indiscretion – pleasantly messy with grilled mushrooms and onions, plus asiago cheese. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the Unexpected Perfection burger – bacon, bleu cheese, and grilled onions. He opted for a serving of bbq sauce instead of ketchup, and was very happy with that choice.
I chose tater tots as my side, and it made a perfect accompaniment to my first burger in quarantine times….
Update – I’ve been back a couple of times within the past 3 months, this time trying their hot dog offerings – it’s now a harder choice to decide what I’ll have, as the dogs are excellent. The mustard that they put on the classic dog is slightly spicier than my preference, but it will be an easy adjustment to ask for slightly less on future visits.

Cute little food cart pod with great burgers and tots! Can’t beat the price, and considering you can get beer right next door, there’s no better spot to grab food this summer. Just look at these burgers!

Hands down the best burger game out there in all of Portland. I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed her cart yet! I just happened to skip a different famously named food cart that my husband wanted to try and I was really wanting something different. So a short walk down the road and found this glorious cart pod.
The Momentary Indiscretion is the best damn thing ever. It’s like the best burger meets French onion soup mixed with the umami of perfectly cooked mushrooms.
Oh my globness the best. Now you know and know what’s the deal. Go get it!
