Great place for authentic carolina bbq. First time eating here, but I knew coming in that a restaurant named “The Dixie Pig” would have exactly what I was looking for. I had the bbq dinner entree, which came with a generous portion of bbq, hush puppies and 2 sides. I chose fries, and potato salad(see photo). Service was top notch. My drink never got less than half full, we were offered to-go sweet tea before we left, and we were even greeted by the owner while we ate to check on our dining experience. I will definitely be going back, and will be recommending to anyone looking for bbq. We left stuffed and satisfied.

This is one of the best BBQ options in the area. Locally owned place that also has a location in Rock Hill. The pulled pork is good and decent portions. The appetizers and sides are solid…try the pimento cheese appetizer. They have a nice outdoor patio at this location and several local craft beers on tap. They can get busy but have plenty of parking and seating at this new location.
Update: Another year later, the quality of the Dixie Pig food in Tega Cay has slipped. The last two or three visits the Brisket (only available on Wednesdays) has gotten worse and worse. The meat is tough and doesn’t even has a hint of smoked flavor. The wings were tough last time as well. Lacy provides great service in the bar, but if she is not there….service goes downhill fast. I recommend trying other locations for better BBQ.

Nice facility. Indoor and outdoor seating. Kept the grandchildren entertained. Our meat loving members of the group thought everything was good. The fried corn on the cob and Mac and cheese were great. Unfortunately we could not get a salad due to romaine recall. French fries were good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good local beer selection.

Update- We went back about two months later and things were not as great. It was dead quiet, no music and the staff were nice but not as attentive. The food was still good but overall experience was not as good as the first time.
1st post- Great food, good prices, friendly staff! It’s great to have a wonderful BBQ restaurant in Tega Cay. The food is so delicious. Meats are tender and have a great smokey flavor. Sides are amazing. Staff and owner are friendly and seem to really care about giving customers a great experience. Highly recommended!

Love this place. I don’t care if it’s the Rock Hill location, or the Tega Cay one…the food and service always knock it out of the park. The pulled pork is flavorful and plentiful. BBQ hash is great, Mac and cheese is great, ribs are great ….everything I’ve ever had is fantastic.

The BBQ here is incredibly good. I had the pork BBQ plate with Red Slaw and Collard Greens on the side. Food was simply incredible. BBQ was high quality, no chunks of fat. Slaw and Collard Greens were delicious. And there was so much of everything that I took home leftovers that I had for breakfast the next day. Service was good, sat at the bar with a friend. There was quite a crowd in a Friday night, but didn’t have to wait for a seat and food came out reasonably quickly. I’m very glad this place is here, and hope they do well and stay in business here for a long time.
