In addition to being Keene’s favorite restaurant, we’re also a convenience store with a great selection of Irish groceries and various unique products from local businesses & artisans. Our convenience store is open 7 am-5:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday 7 am-2 pm. Serving the community is our passion and we pride ourselves on offering the best customer service. I’ve passed by The Dixie Cafe & Quick stop numerous times on my way to Nicholasville. I like the looks of this building as it looked like one of those “lesser known secrets” that are a must try. We were running late and arrived close to closing time. We were welcomed and serve served well. The food was great . The atmosphere was good and the service was great. I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely stop by again and again. This is a must try place.

Great spot! The Dixie breakfast, pancakes, chicken biscuit, burgers, and sandwiches all come highly recommended. Nice back deck and front porch seating. It’s super cute and historic in Keene. Also, it’s a lovely drive around the area with some of the most beautiful horse farms and properties there are!

Stopped in the other day for the first time. Ordered a to-go-meal..the soup beans were not good..and I am reining myself in here..they were tough..tasteless..and needed lots of work. But the fried Cornbread..on the other hand was “the bomb”. Some of the best I have ever had..so my question is..”did the same person make both?” The half panini was delicious as well as the chocolate chip cookie that was included.

This is my second time stopping at the Dixie Cafe and it never disappoints. The customer service is above and beyond. The staff are always friendly and sweet. We’ve only had breakfast here. The breakfast biscuit was delicious, the biscuit and fluffy and flakey. My boyfriend got the breakfast plate and he loved his meal too. There were a lot of tables inside and one large table on the back deck overlooking the treeline which was such a lovely vibe. They give you huge cups for the drip coffee. Prices are extremely reasonable. We’ll be coming back again and again!

Anytime I have to take my hubby to work I stop in for breakfast. It is always hot, cheap and fast. You get a really good portion too. I have never been there where it wasn’t super clean either.
