We have been to The Dispensary over a dozen times. Enjoy the fact of being outside and nice place to meet friends. Yesterday, Easter Sunday was highly disappointing. We were the third couple to be there. We ordered mimosas to begin. Before ordering our food we asked our server (the only server/bartender) if he could change the music playlist. It was horrible with terrible language. There was a family with three young children beside us. The server told us “It is a bar”. We understood that but other bars we visit do not have vulgar music at noon on Sunday. Especially it being Easter Sunday and by now there were other young families with children here. We know he could have changed the playlist but he was making his stand. Our meals took over an hour and we were served after the family of five that came in after us. We felt that was intentional. The server apologized it was taking long and offered a cocktail on the house which he never brought. Again intentional. Another server brought our food to us. We never got water refilled. I ordered chicken wings – see picture for reference. Certainly not worth what was charged. My husband ordered a burger and fries that arrived cold. Very disappointing to try to visit a local restaurant and pay what we paid ($80.00) for the attitude that we received. We will not be coming back and will share our experience with others. As we left I used the restroom. This was the last straw. Three empty rolls of toilet tissue. This place will close if management doesn’t address these issues.

Sadly, didn’t live up to the hype. The website hypes it up to be an amazing place. Some of the reviewers had a good experience. Unfortunately, we just didn’t. We were excited about the cocktail menu. The mule and the old fashioned were decent; the gin cocktail was unbalanced and not good. The gyro was ok; the burger was not ok. It was not cooked to order, on the small side, and didn’t come with lettuce & tomato. Which, fine, and I asked for L&T (and waited and waited) which made it slightly better, but not great. Burgers aren’t hard and a good one in Flo isn’t difficult to find. This was a disappointment. The truffle fries that everyone raves about are frozen shoestring fries from the air fryer with too much salt and a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese. Not impressive. Lastly, while the rooftop is nice and there is cozy seating … an entire building blocks the view of the horizon. You cannot actually see the sun set from there.

Great food…same kitchen as Town Hall. Great atmosphere and the service is top notch! Sunday brunch is family friendly. Wonderful hidden gem that truly doesn’t need to stay hidden! Downtown Florence and if your staying in town over the weekend or you live here and want a great Brunch on Sunday or dinner date in the evening this is a great choice!

This place had decent drinks and finger foods with music when we went. A neat rooftop bar in downtown Florence. The service was a tad slow but that’s because only one or two wait staff were working.

Drinks and waitress was great. However we waited a while for our food and it was getting chilly and started raining. Only to find out our whole order was cancelled because they were out of 1 item, and they did not tell our waitress. This was my first visit so I’m willing to give them another try.

The service is extremely slow, one bartender did not even know what an old-fashioned is. Took approximately 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar and it wasn’t crowded. Sad because the space is fantastic. The truffle fries or just frozen shoestring fries with a tiny amount of truffle oil on them not great. Also, kids should not be at a bar after about 7 PM

Had one bad experience where the service was bad because it was really busy, but I think they’ve gotten a grip on that now. They have great apps. You have to try the fried oyster deviled eggs. The rooftop actually has a pretty nice view, as you can see.
