It’s a classic diner experience. Some might be put off by the speed, which is slower but that’s because everything is fresh made, or the atmosphere, but it’s a real diner not some re-creation in chain restaurant form. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

We stopped on our way thru town looking for an affordable breakfast. Staff was very friendly, food was good. It was not quick, they even have a sign on the wall that says ‘we are not fast food’. The main part of the restaurant has maybe 5 small booths and some stools at the counter – there were 5 us us, so we sat in a little room to the side at some tables that were all pushed together. That room was piked high with empty boxes, random items, and bags full of stuff – like a forgotten storage closet, it didn’t feel like we should be eating in there. We could hear lively and friendly conversation in the other room, like they are all family, staff and patrons. It just took about 45 minutes to get our food from when we ordered, and noone else was served in between us ordering and us getting our food – so if ypu want a quick meal, don’t come here. But if you have time to wait, and want good ole diner food, this place is where its at. And inexpensive. 2 adults, and 3 big eating teenagers, we had 2 cfs meals, a side of biscuits and gravy, a full meal of biscuits and gravy, a giant pancake (which they said was a small ), and 2 club sandwiches with fries and after tax our total was under $90 -and we were all STUFFED! Portions are GIANT! Food was good – typical diner food. I would come back if I had extra time, but not if I was in a hurry and just passing thru.
