Since 2014 The Diner has been serving really great food, made fresh from scratch every day and sourced as locally as possible, partnering with local farmers to bring seasonal specials to you all year. We were totally blown away by this place. We came in to try the grilled cheese for the annual “Melt Down”, and we left feeling totally satisfied. The food was absolutely amazing and mouth-watering. The staff were super friendly and made us feel like we were part of the family. You can expect to wait for a table, the place is small and obviously super busy because the food is delicious, fresh, and homemade.

Not only is their food consistently excellent, but every now and then a treasure like their shrimp and grits comes out and there is no other word to describe it but legendary. Awesome little dinner. They used locally sourced products. My wife had the Mac and cheese, while I had quiche with fruit. Service was awesome along with the good food. We highly recommend stopping to check them out. I think we’re almost regular customers and plan on stopping again at some point.

Greetings fellow consumers, today I had the pleasure of having a little breakfast at The Dinner in McMinnville, Oregon. It’s a small, welcoming café with homemade from scratch cooking to delight your senses. I had French Toast with fresh fruit, butter, and real maple syrup. My first bite to back-to-Sunday visits with my grandmother. It was light, fluffy, and so tasty! The apples were sliced paper-thin and the bananas were a perfect bite size. The toast was heaven; warm, thick, and moist. As I ate, I saw many breakfast plates pass my table, and they all looked delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, I read my paper and enjoyed my time with no rush to leave. The ingredients, of course, were high quality and fresh. I loved it, come by for a tasty homemade meal where you can relax and enjoy the essence of home.

Not the cheapest but worth it because the portions are big. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. My husband ordered a breakfast plate with sausage and the sausage patties were big delicious and house-made, not from a box. His grandmother got a big slice of quiche and a fruit cup on the side and the fruit was sliced up very nicely, not just random cubes of melon. The booth was big enough to sit our party of 5. There was a private accessible bathroom that was clean.

Cute, clean and brightly lite this little eatery is a popular place. Typically on weekends you will have to wait about 15 minutes for an available table. We (party of 3) arrived Saturday morning at 9:15 and had to wait about 13 minutes.
We were seated at a cozy booth the waitress greeted us immediately. We ordered Boozy Mimosas (Wild Roots Peach Vodka, Prosecco and fresh orange juice) while we perused the menu. The menu has unique choices which include several different versions of the classic Eggs Benedict. As well as daily specials.
I ordered Vegetable Hash – small portion. Mixed Local Vegetables fresh from farm partners. Mixed with diced yukon potatoes, topped with egg, served with toast.
My son in law had a Chicken Fried Steak – small portion. Tenderized, aged beef battered and fried to order smothered with house sausage gravy, eggs, and scallion and potatoes.
My husband had a Breakfast Sandwich. Toast, Egg, Meat, and Cheese with hash browns.
Our meals came out within 15 minutes, hot and fresh. Every dish was delicious and flavorful.
We enjoyed our breakfast, never felt rushed.
Great place to bring an out of town guest or stop by on your way to the beach.
