A true gem in the heart of downtown Norman, this diner serves up incredible food! I love the option of ordering half plates allowing me to try different menu items. Today I had the beef brisket hash and French toast. Both entrees were delicious. This is a must try when in Norman. The Diner has been featured 2 times on Food Network.

I cleaned my plate. I’m full off of a half order. I had the tamale hash for breakfast. This was my 1st time here. Such a wonderful chill calm diner vibe.
The fresh cut flowed at the table smelled so wonderful and pulled in my gratitude. This is the best diner I’ve come to in a very long time. If you need to reset, get grounded and have some alone time (for introverts), this is such an amazing diner.
Chefs kiss. So grateful for this experience.
And shout out to the chef Bonnie! Your Rock!

My fiancé got the huevos rancheros and I got the 2x2x2 specialty and it was so yummy! This place feels like home, everyone is so friendly and I love the atmosphere. I will be coming here more often!

We had high hopes for this restaurant but left a little disappointed. The service was a little slow and it looked like only one waitress was working at that time. The brisket hash was a big bust. Not what we expected at all. It tasted like left over pot roast and the scrambled eggs were overcooked. The biscuits were really good and fresh and the hash browns were really crispy. We would give this place another try but definitely stay away from the brisket hash.

This establishment offers satisfactory cuisine and commendable service; however, the hygiene practices and food safety standards are profoundly concerning. I observed a cook handling multiple items without proper sanitation, including raw bacon and various food products, which raises serious health risks. An inspection by a food safety authority is urgently required. The cooking oil is reportedly blackened, and all items prepared in the fryer—such as bacon, fries, and sausage—may be compromised. Additionally, I witnessed a cook touching cooked bacon with their hands, demonstrating a lack of glove use and awareness of proper hygiene protocols. There are instances of food being improperly stored, with some items left unrefrigerated. Moreover, the premises are visibly unclean, with food splatters on the walls and ceiling. Immediate action to thoroughly clean and adhere to sanitary standards is essential to ensure customer safety. Failure to address these issues could result in foodborne illnesses. – Regarding their response, I personally observed a cook touching raw bacon with their hand. Additionally, a brief inspection reveals how unclean the environment is. It is advisable to observe the cooks when you are present.-

I like the historical look inside this place in downtown Norman but they need to clean!!!!! Absolutely filthy in there. Just look up at the ceilings when you’re in there. Now the food was good. I enjoyed my chocolate chip pancakes. I just think they can do better and they can and starting by cleaning the place would help out a lot.

Good service. My waitress was really sweet and she let me try the food before ordering. They treat the guest with respect. Great place to have breakfast with your family.

The most classic diner breakfast in Norman, and a classic as experience as your likely to find anywhere. A shotgun diner of cozy booths and a counter, this place will transport you back a century with it’s fantastic feel. The food is hearty and delicious with all the breakfast classics plus several dishes with a southwestern flair. Some of the awesome non-breakfast items include an award winning chili and one of the best burgers in town! An institution in town for a century, here’s hoping for a hundred more!

Decent food. Quaint atmosphere. Nice staff. It was a pleasant breakfast. Good prices, portions reasonable. Husband and I split a base omelet platter, with added mushrooms, it was tasty and light. The platter also came with hash browns or home fries, and a bread , one of the options for that was biscuits and gravy., which is what we tried. All in all it was enough for 2 as a light breakfast.
