My grandson & I ate here on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn’t packed, but service was a little slow. There seemed to be only one waitress at the time. We were not in a hurry so it wasn’t a problem.
I had the catfish filet and shrimp and my grandson had a hamburger. The catfish was very good, the fried shrimp were ok, not great. My grandson’s hamburger looked good and he didn’t complain. That’s saying something for him!
The staff was very nice and we’re working hard to take care of the customers. The atmosphere is nice kind of reminding me of an older diner.
Our overall experience was good, not great, and certainly not bad. I will come back.

Great little place to get some good grub! Stopped here while in the area for business and was not disappointed! Food was good, fresh and very reasonably priced. I had the catfish filet dinner and my wife had the cubed steak dinner. Both were very good, cooked and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely be making another stop by this diamond in the rough!!!

Just good old fashioned home cooking. The sweet potato waffle fries tasted fresh cut and the mac and cheese is just like Grandma would make for a church potluck.

It is a place I will return to. Food was good. Area was clean. Staff and even other customers were friendly. Service was very slow. When we came in there was one other table eating. We noticed that people who came in after us were being served, so we talked with the server. In all, we waited an hour. I won’t fault an error on otherwise a good experience, unless it was repeated!

I’ve only ate at this restaurant twice (it’s not in my town) and so far both times I’ve had a good experience! The waiters/waitresses are so nice! They’re usually a little busy on the weekends but man these people are busting their butts to get food and drinks out. After ordering, your food may take a few to get to you but that shouldn’t be an issue as your food isn’t frozen and always cooked fresh!

My husband and I ate here last night and the food was wonderful. He got the bonless pork chops fried and I got the steak and shrimp. Our food was cooked to perfection and our waitress was very attentive to all our needs. We will be going back very soon and we highly recommend this little country diner in downtown Gibson, GA.

We came here based on a recommendation of a staff member of Hamburg State Park. We ordered two ribeyes and an appetizer. We had planned to order dessert but that never happened. We both ordered our steaks medium rare, they came out well done, no pink whatsoever. That was after asking me 3 different times how I wanted it cooked. Appetizer was delivered with steaks, not before. After we got done eating we sat for 20 minutes until my husband had to flag down one of the ladies for a togo box. At that point we just didn’t want any dessert. We asked about the check, the lady says she’ll be right back and then comes back and says we have to pay at the desk. Why not just say that when we asked? We had explained upon arrival that we had never dined here so why not come approach the table after eating to explain how you operate. The waitressess were more worried about the local family in the corner than anyone else. I guess since they come more, they get the priority, sad. Poor communication, poor service, poor execution of cooking per order.

My husband and I stopped going here a while ago but tried to see If it had improved last night and it has not . My husband and I got the bang bang shrimp , a grilled chicken salad , two orders of fried mushrooms and fries and that was 47 dollars … prices have went up and quality has gone down . My salad was bitter , the chicken was very very dry and tough , the tomatoes were in literally chuncks , was only cut into 4 pieces . My fries were very cold and soggy , my husband’s food was so so . We will not be back . Prices are awful quality of food is terrible . Do no recommend this place anymore .

That day a waitress called out. We were there for Almost 2 hours. Fish sandwich was burnt. Now I’m not saying their food was bad. I’ have had take out from there and it was excellent. They just need to get some help.

On two separate occasions my Mom & I have ordered their fish sandwiches and onion rings. It was absolutely delicious. Best fish sandwich that I have had. The slice of fish is larger that the bun it’s on. Great place to eat and super friendly folks!
