Quirky vintage bistro serving breakfast, sandwiches, beer & wine in a 19th-century building.

I will start with the positives. Atmosphere with the history is just awesome. The little shop is too cute with a lot of Boutique stuff. All the kids clothes are adorable and the adult clothes are sophisticated.
The food was amazing however the service could have used a little extra touch. I sat there with no water two times while the server walked by me. I don’t feel like I should tip a server for only taking my order. He did check on me once after I got my food but somebody else delivered it. I did however tip him $2 because I didn’t want to be completely rude, but I don’t think he deserved it and I hope it went to the hostess who did more for me and the food deliverer and cook.

A must while in Boerne! Went in for brunch. Expect to wait for a while. Definitely worth the wait. Staff friendly and courteous. Our server, Brooks, was aaaawesome! The owner, I thought he was the owner, was talking to all the customers. Making sure all was good. We had a little mix up but it was sincerely taken care of. Great customer service! I ordered the Smoked salmon benedict. It was tastyyyyy! Also had the John Wayne( espresso shot). Which was smooth, creamy and sweet. Definitely visit this establishment again.

We had the most incredible 5-course Valentine’s meal at The Dienger, and it was truly a night to remember. Erin, our main host, was absolutely amazing—warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. The entire staff was on point, and you could tell the chef put real thought and care into every course.
One of the best parts was the view—being up at the top overlooking Main Street in Boerne gave the evening such a perfect vibe. And the wine pairings were fantastic… a different pairing for each course that actually elevated the flavors instead of just “going with it.”
The standout for me was the mussels and linguini—so flavorful and perfectly cooked. If you’re looking for a classy, memorable date night in Boerne, The Dienger Trading Co. absolutely delivers. We’ll definitely be back!

My son-in-law and daughter took me to The Dienger Trading Co. in Boerne, Texas and we had great meals there! The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the selection of dishes that were offered was unique, and some of the selections were uniquely “Texan.” All of the food was either cooked or baked to perfection, and I and my family thoroughly enjoyed our meals! The owner was present, and he went from table-to-table warmly greeting his guests and fellow diners ensuring that we all had a wonderful dining experience at his restaurant. I was particularly impressed by the genuinely courteous Texan hospitality that he displayed, and felt at ease as if I was dining at home among friends. Thank you to all of the kitchen and wait staff, and the owner for giving us all a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely return for more!

Great restaurant with delicious breakfast food. Big portions. Good coffee and cappucino. Good service. The place itself is well designed with large windows and an older style decor that gives it a vintage vibe. There’s a large boutique store connected to the restaurant which my wife absolutely loved. They sell women’s clothes, baby clothes, stationary, candles, cups, kitchen items, and more. Good selection of quality items you won’t find in the big chain dept stores, and everything we saw was fairly priced. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Boerne.

Love coming to this place and then going to the shop after.
Today I decided to order something different. Bad decision. The chicken pot pie has such a lovely description…and that’s where it ends. It’s not so much a pot pie as a bowl of Sysco chicken, frozen vegetables in a watered down gravy with a croissant on top. No traditional crust, no heat, no taste, just over all blah; not satisfying in any way. Really just horrible, like when you sip water when you thought you ordered a Sprite.
What made the lunch memorable was our awesome waiter who let us talk and take our time. Perfect “reading the room” moment

Food was good, the shrimp and grits didn’t really have a bunch of flavor could use a Southern kick to the grits. It was kind of bland. Grits cold to warm while the shrimp was hot. Toast, eggs, potatoes were good. Atmosphere is excellent IMO, service was really good. Didn’t bother too muchh.

Super cute restaurant and boutique. Our server Brooke was great, no food was forgotten and it came out really fast considering all the people. We got vanilla custard French toast which was 10/10 and so was the biscuit. For something savory I would recommend the eggs Benedict. The restaurant is so pretty and all the staff is really nice. The owner is always here talking to the customers which is super cute. We love it here!

My husband and I visited this spot for Brunch one morning, after hearing how nice it was. Everyone we spoke to or encountered here was incredibly nice and helpful. The whole vibe of the place was very nice. It was a beautiful place! The food, however, was lackluster. My husband and I both ordered the Hill Country Breakfast…he got the bacon with it, and I chose ham. The potatoes were extremely over cooked. The peppers that were cooked with the potatoes were VERY good, though. I’m sad at how hard and overcooked the potatoes were because the flavor was wonderful. My ham was delicious…as was my husband’s bacon. However – his scrambled eggs were NOT good. There was no flavor before he added salt and pepper…and they were cold. They also came out in almost a sheet, like what you get on your McDonald’s breakfast sandwich. It was so odd. My eggs were also cold and bland…but cooked correctly. The toast and biscuits were also cold…and the biscuits were hard and NOT good. We also got mimosas (he got the original, and I had the Sunrise Mimosa), and they were ok. Nothing special. My biggest frustration was the pricing. The food was DEFINITELY not worth the price. We paid $72 for two breakfasts and two mimosas. It was absurd – especially for how basic the food and drinks were. I’d happily pay that much for a phenomenal brunch…but this was NOT it.
We would definitely visit again, to give it another shot. But we definitely won’t order the same things.
Update: I recently went here with a friend of mine, and we had the MOST delicious lunch, accompanied by some Delicious cocktails. I’m updating my food review from 2 stars to 5 stars. I’m open to trying the breakfast food again – but that aside – the lunch I had did NOT disappoint! It was phenomenal! I had the Pressed Smoked Turkey and Swiss Sandwich with the most delicious side salad, and my friend had the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich with a side Caesar Salad. We both also had a seasonal tropical cocktail, as well as a spicy pineapple margarita. Both were so yummy! Also, I know it was just a side salad – but it was seriously one of the best side salads I’ve ever had. They have a delightful vinaigrette that made it even more delicious. Thank you, Dienger, for a much better second visit!♥️♥️♥️
