EDIT: after looking at some old reviews, I’m thinking that this use to be owned/operated by someone else. The food people are describing was not on the menu when we went. This is an Italian restaurant now.
So I just put a request in to google that this place is open. It is not closed. It looks like it has worked since it’s now listed as open.
We stopped here on a road trip last week. The building is an old train station. Half of it is the kitchen and the other is where you eat. It feels fancy, but is not really a fancy place if that makes sense. Over all it’s a smaller place, and was full once we got there. The food came out faster then we thought it would. It was also very good. I wish the serving sizes were bigger, but I always say that about good food.
If your passing by give this place a try. It’s open, clean, the stay is friendly and the food is good.

Some of the best food we’ve ever had at a restaurant! Absolutely fabulous! We started with the pretzel with beer cheese sauce, then had the pork chop with asparagus and red potatoes. Delicious!

Went to this restaurant after lunch and before dinner. The couple that I’m assuming own it were more then gracious to allow us to eat. Atmosphere was awesome. An old train depot with a lot of character. Very neat and clean. The food was amazingly delicious. We had burgers and that was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And these fries that come with it were so delicious when we left we said we had to go back so we could try more on the menu. We look forward to eating there again and again. Fabulous food, great atmosphere and warm caring service.

We were staying at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast, this new restaurant was one of her recommendations. Very cool atmosphere! We had catfish.. (excellent) and the standard salad… the toasted pecans were amazing, but the chicken was a little overdone. It looked like a very fun and unique menu. We would definitely recommend going there if you are in the area. A bonus for us is that a train passed by while we were eating on the patio.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. They were short staffed we were told because of illnesses but between the very slow service and cold disgusting food I don’t know if I’ve ever had a worse meal. We were never offered drinks behind water. We waited over an hour for our food and it was cold. No one in our party for the condiments requested and thete was at least 10 min between the first and last meal brought to our table. My pulled pork was not edible and either old or bad meat. The manager didn’t even want to take the time to come talk with us. It took so long we didn’t even want to wait for it to be taken off the bill. We cut our losses and left. We are from out of town but can say we will NEVER go there again and would advise against it especially if you have kids waiting or have a place to be.

Thanks for another delicious meal! The mussels were so good! The steak was cooked perfectly and tender, the scallops were good. I liked the candied Brussels sprouts, too. The fried ice cream and cheesecake were perfect endings to the evening. Looking forward to a Black and Tan next time we are there.

I really want to love this place. I’ve been here three times and while it is better than the first time it’s just not great. Everytime we’ve been here they’ve been out of something we wanted. And I just overheard a waitress be telling another table they were out of something else. The fries are DELICIOUS though and it’s clean and bright inside. The chicken tenders are pretty greasy also, but v tasted good.

The atmosphere was great for a date, and the service was very good. The menu was typical bar food, pizza, burgers, a variety of sandwiches and what I had to eat tasted very good but it almost could have been more upscale for as nice as the environment was. Still, I would recommend this place.

I am a little late in writing this review. About two months ago my fiance and I stopped in here for dinner. It was absolutely divine. Unfortunately because it has been awhile I can’t remember the name of the dish I had. It was steak wrapped with bacon and stuffed with mozzarella cheese I believe. Ohmygoodness! Yum! The brussel sprouts were heavenly. My fiance had the ribeye and brussel sprouts and said they were phenomenal. We both cleared our plates. We will for sure be back! Thank you for an amazing dinner and service.

Holy wow! Best steak I’ve had in YEARS! Not to mention all the other food was amazing – the pretzel, the Brussel sprouts, the potatoes, the asparagus! Seriously, so go and we will keep coming back! Oh and their beers on tap are delicious!
