We ordered steaks from here, and they were good. We had the wagyu strip and the ribeye. I would pick the wagyu next time. I ordered a side of asparagus, and it was good as well. For dessert, we ordered the banana foster & creme brulee bread pudding and enjoyed it. The train came by twice and we thought that was fun. We would recommend coming here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Night of Happiness and Phenomenal Food at The Depot in Auburn

Visiting The Depot in Auburn was extra special for our family—because my son works there, and we had the joy of experiencing the restaurant not just as guests, but through his world.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, full of Southern charm and historic beauty. The building itself—a restored train depot—is stunning, with its open layout, rustic elegance, and inviting energy that instantly makes you feel at home.

But the highlight of our evening? Knowing my son grilled our steaks in the kitchen with pride and professionalism. As a mom, it was such a meaningful experience to see him doing what he loves, surrounded by a supportive and talented team. The staff was wonderful—welcoming us like family and making sure it was a night to remember.

The food, of course, was absolutely outstanding. The steaks were grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Every course was crafted with care and attention to detail. But I have to rave about the peach and corn cobbler—what a creative and delicious twist on a classic Southern dessert! The warm peaches paired with the gentle sweetness and texture of corn made for a unique and comforting finish to the meal. Don’t forget the ice cream!

Service was top-tier—gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, the staff make you feel like you’re part of something special.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Auburn, with top-notch cuisine and heartfelt hospitality, The Depot is the place to go. And if you happen to see Michael proudly working the grill—you’ll know why this mama is beaming. ❤️

We had a nice dinner. Pork and a burger. It’s a bit overpriced. Atmosphere was fun and cozy

I had the most amazing meal, Tapas Tuesdays are my favorite, and I got all of them listed on their specials menu! Best dinner ever, a big thank you to the chefs! Every single tapas dish was perfectly done and amazing flavors!

Unfortunately not the best.
Southern food trying to make it an elegant experience it failed.
The menu doesn’t match the place.
I had a party of 8.
I checked the menu a month out. Looks like it will be pleasing to my people.
The night before. I checked the website.
Looks like the menu is still good .
Got here tonight and nothing I wanted was on the menu.
It’s my birthday party .
Everyone found something on the menu to eat.
I decide to play it safe and order the appetizer salad with a smoked salmon.$15 plus $4.
My bf got chicken meal.
The green beans were not cooked all the way. The chicken had gravy all over it.
We got the bill and they charge $30 for salad plus reg salmon. The waiter made the mistake and gave us regular salmon $15 not smoked salmon.
Plus they charge $25 to cut your cake. Which we bought our own Individual desserts.
We got that junk fee taken off.

It’s a glorified Cracker Barrel.
Never again.
We left and went around the corner and got a real meal for half the price.
Warning…..don’t go here unless you want to pay a mint for Cracker Barrel food.

Depot has been one of my favorite restaurants in town for years, but last night was absolutely a 10/10. The service staff was kind and the food was out of this world good! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good meal.

I have to share how extremely disappointed I am in The Depot now. Tonight, I took my son and his girlfriend to the restaurant for his birthday. I have been to The Depot 4 times previously and have purchased gift cards for others from there. Sadly tonight’s experience will be my last visit. The food was very bland and disappointing. I ordered the lobster risotto and it had no flavor to it. In addition, our service was less than acceptable. Our waitress disappeared on several occasions for long periods of time. And to end the evening, the valet person was unbelievably rude when we left the property. So rude that my spouse was shaking when we drove away. I have previously liked The Depot but tonight’s experience has destroyed my desire to ever go back.

10/10 best dinner we have ever had. We started the night with a dozen oysters. They were cold, crisp, and delicious. For the main course, I had Maine lobster tail, filet, au gratin potatoes and greens with an additional side of Brussels sprouts. My husband had a 12oz waygu steak with baby red potatoes and Brussels. Both steaks were incredibly tender and flavorful along with the amazing sides. We will definitely be coming back here regularly.

Always a wonderful dining experience. Love the oysters, seafood items change depending on availability and always impressed with the way it is prepared. Another favorite is Tapas Tuesdays … three different choices, always different and they are GREAT!! Often a whole meal for me. Best of all, the staff make you feel like they are happy you came. Truly a local gem.

Great seafood restaurant in a restored train depot. First come first served area by the bar. Tile fish, crabmeat stuffed trout, and red snapper were outstanding. Ginger ale was tasty and martini was great too. Oysters very tiny. Dessert…fabulous. Tiny oysters were the only ding in an otherwise spectacular dining experience.
