vibe we’re really good. Sat in the back in a nice cozy table. The drinks were phenomenal. They make all their own liquor (obviously), elixirs, and mixes. They also have a really good kitchen. I was actually kinda surprised by the food. Who ever is back there seems to know what they are doing. We got the Korean fries chicken and waffles but instead of traditional waffles they make a savory bread pudding that was perfect for it. It’s also paired with a gochujang oil sauce that was really good. My wife got the pork tacos that were pretty amazing as well. The wash your jeans old fashion they make was perfect and their whisky was amazing. I highly recommend this place and will be back.
Came back a second time and was still blown away by the food and drinks. Huge compliment to the chef. This is some of the best food I’ve had in the area. There drinks once again were amazing. We got their crispy chicken sandwich and it was amazing, the batter they use has so much flavor and it’s very unique. We also got the bolognese that was fantastic. We also tried the chicken pesto flat bread that was very good! My favorite appetizer we tried was the pork belly. Pork belly can be difficult to cook but this was perfect not to chewy and had a nice sear to it but still enough moisture throughout to be perfectly tender and the tangerine glaze compliments it perfectly. I would highly recommend trying that. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend it.
The hospitality of the host was welcoming and not overbearing. He was able to guide us and make suggestions on both food and drink that we took and were not disappointed in. The service was impeccable. The hand crafted cocktails were the best I’ve had in the valley. Our food came out surprisingly fast and was cooked to perfection. My husband got the Korean chicken and bread pudding, and I got the braised short ribs. The chicken had the most crispy breading, and yet was some of the juiciest chicken we’ve ever consumed. The bread pudding was not soggy or overly sweet. It was delicious (and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like bread pudding). The ribs fell off the bone and melted in my mouth! The glaze and sides of my dish were paired perfectly.
The exterior of the distillery looks like a house. The inside is small and cozy with wood paneling and mismatched chairs/tables. We went on a Sunday, early evening, and were 1 of 3 parties, so we were able to spread out. However, if the restaurant was full, it would be difficult to hold a conversation without others hearing it.
The prices of the drinks are very expensive and the food was on the expensive side as well, but also worth it! These days, most places are expensive, but I can’t say many of them are worth it, and this one is! For delicious food and cocktails, Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits and Distillery has my highest recommendation.
Bottom line, completely worth every penny. Speaking of pennies, for 4 cocktails, 2 apps, and 2 entrees, it was $150 before tip.
Service-Fantastic!
Food-AMAZING
Cocktails-Delicious!
The Blood Orange Fizz is like an adult Italian soda. The Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad was something I never knew I needed in my like. The Roasted Vegetable Tacos and Fish Tacos were both so unique and amazing. We took the Roasted Pineapple Ice cream home for dessert…. so worth it! Everything was simple but full of amazing flavor combinations.
And the location! It’s small, cozy and deceiving from the outside. Even the glassware is amazing!!
Will defiantly be coming back to Kalispell just for this place.
The cocktails a bit above the average but nothing to write home about, flavors were simple and overly sweet.
The service was great, and the atmosphere not. A little thought into the lighting wouldnt be bad. I felt like im in someones basement. Perhaps patio seating like some of the photos had, as it was a bit tight inside.
