Me and my friends stopped into the Delicatessen earlier today and all I have to say is wow. The service from all aspects is absolutely incredible, but especially Matthew. He is attentive, friendly, and kind. He went out of his way to make sure we were properly introduced and taken care of and we weren’t the only table he did this to.
Not only was the service incredible, but also the atmosphere. There are plenty tables and counter space. It’s a gorgeous place and truly feels like a piece of new york was picked up and moved to phoenix.
Last but CERTAINLY not least, the food. This bagel was seriously the best bagel I have had outside of new york. The build your own bagel was something I had never experienced before and was an incredible experience. We also got their salted caramel cinnamon roll, little italy latte, banana hazelnut latte, and the upper east side latte. The iced coffees come in cans and added to the experience in the absolute best way. We also got a chocolate egg cream, which I haven’t had in many years.
I will absolutely be back and I’m counting down the minutes till then.

I had such a great experience here! we had a bagel sandwich and burrito with a strawberry matcha and don’t get me started on the french toast latte. Absolutely delicious

What really made the visit stand out though was the service. Stephanie was amazing! She was super friendly and had the most positive vibes. Her french toast latte recommendation was truly one of the best.

Great food, great coffee, and incredible service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try. Coming in, you could automatically feel the welcoming and cozy environment. The workers were all very nice and helpful and answered any questions we had. I will say, it was definitely hard deciding what I wanted to eat because everything looked really good to try. I ended up getting The Deli Slam and the Little Italy drink and it was amazing! My daughters did a build your own bagel and they enjoyed it immensely. One of my daughters ordered a Strawberry Matcha with oat milk and the other ordered The Upper East Side with half and half and they loved them. Definitely will be coming back another time to try their other items.

The Delicatessen is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. Chef Joey came out to say hello and was such a gracious host, passionate about what he has built and proud of his team. General Manager Matt was equally amazing, super helpful, and clearly runs a tight, friendly, and polished operation.

The space itself is gorgeous, bright, modern, and Instagram worthy but still warm and inviting. You can sit down and enjoy full service or order quick from the deli counter.

The food blew us away. The bagels are next level: perfectly fresh and chewy with just the right crisp on the outside and soft airy centers, some of the best we have ever had in Arizona. The house made chive and antipasti cream cheeses were incredible. We also tried the chopped chicken Caesar sandwich, which was great, but honestly the bagels stole the show.

Every detail feels cared for, and the whole team made us feel like regulars on our first visit. If you are not checking out The Delicatessen yet, you are missing out. This place is easily 5 out of 5 Top Rahmun bowls. Can’t wait to come back.

Hands down; highly recommended!!
Matthew welcomed us immediately as we walked in the door, as he did with everyone. Since it was our first time, Matthew explained the entire ordering options very clearly. We spotted Matthew throughout our visit making his way to each table to ensure satisfaction. We both had breakfast bagel sandwiches which were incredible— quality ingredients and delicious flavors! We will share with friends & family. See you soon

These were the best bagels I’ve had in the valley so far. Matthew oversaw our experience and gave us superb suggestions that healed our mind, body, and soul. We got the deli slam with a jalapeño cheddar bagel that will make your eyes water from pure savory goodness. I also couldn’t help but participate in the BYOB which was an everything bagel with garlic and green onion cream cheese. 10/10 smash. Lastly, we enjoyed the bagel of the week (crème brûlée french toast) with the blackberry vanilla cream cheese. While the tears streamed down my face I noticed a foggy outline of a man standing before me, it was Matthew holding out a cup of water. You can’t beat the service, and you can’t escape the flavor of the delicatessen.

Came here after hiking echo canyon and it was AMAZING. Bagels were delicious and coffees were so yummy and cute. Loved how they were served in a can. So niche! They have the most friendly staff and gave such great recommendations. Mathew took care of us and even brought us some cookies after our meal. We will definitely be back and hoping they open up more locations in the Gilbert/Chandler area.

I’m delighted by this welcoming and delicious spin on traditional deli offerings with a flavorful twist. I ordered the blinged bagel with Lox capers and cucumbers. Genius to mix the ingredients together so that the ingredients are clearly visible yet a bite is full of each. These blends seem made to order and I was able to eliminate the onions for my dietary needs.

The hosts and servers are attentive and making sure that guests have a pleasant experience. The bagels are authentic with the crisp outer crust and tender inside. Potato pancakes are delicious and gratefully handmade not fresh frozen. Servings of soup and salad are generous and heard from a dear friend that the Reuben is great. The coleslaw is dressed lightly with poppy seed vinaigrette rather than gloppy mayo. Thank you Chef Joey for leading the way for attentive food preparation.
The pastries are inviting and I will be back to “The” Delicatessen as a stand out. Note happy faces on all of us happy customers

Super happy with the food today at The Delicatessen restaurant. High-quality ingredients. Delicious food. Very authentic flavors. Had the New York cheesecake. The Reuben and the Italian sub. All of it was amazing. Some of the best french fries. Highly recommend. Will be coming back.

The good – It’s a solid NY Jewish deli. The Ruben and potato salad were delightful, and the egg cream was very good. The decor makes you feel solidly east coast, if not Brooklyn itself. Service was great and very helpful.

The bad – The bagels were a little dry and the lox cream cheese blend tasted off. Also, the nearly 6 dollar black and white cookie was sadly way off the mark as it was dry and gritty. One would lack any joy of biting into these cookies as they missed all of their intended cakey, moist texture and the icing was hard and largely flavorless.

The surprise – The coffee options were outstanding and very tasty. I highly recommend the banana coffee. Also, lots of gf options! The price tag was a bit steep as well, but worth it for the sandwich, egg cream, and coffee.
