I got the New Yorker. Unfortunately my sandwich had a super skimpy amount of meat with no horsey sauce. It’s basically just vegetables. Really disappointed. The salad wasn’t bad tho. But for a $11 sandwich I would think they would be a little more generous with the meat.

They make their own bread for the sandwiches and have a lot of ingredient options. They also have some of the best soups in the area! Staff is friendly and efficient. A much needed addition to West Salem! If you start serving coffee I’ll be in every other day.

We had their sandwiches and soups catered for lunch and it was delicious! It so happen to rain today and I gor their tomato basil soup which was the best for the temperature. The bread for their sandwiches are so soft, the ingredients are fresh and the pickles are SOO GOOD! I’m so glad we got the chance to try them. I will have to personally come back to try their other sandwhiches and soups. Thank you for catering for us!

Not bad, sandwich was good but definitely could have used more meat. Talk about subs loaded with meat go to Sparta. Would I go here again? Maybe if they improved more meat to sandwich and a few bread options would be nice.

To be completely honest I’m not a huge fan of the bread they use, (the only reason for the one star deduction)but that’s not why I’m reviewing. I am currently stupidly sick and literally the only thing that’s brought me a moment of comfort, and that I can even eat, is the French Onion Soup. I’ve been all over the country, I’m from the North East, from really food dense areas. And Midway Deli has the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. The flavor is top notch, well seasoned. It’s absolutely perfect, and will probably be my go-to sick soup this whole winter. Hats off to the chef for that one! ❤️

This sandwich shop is amazing. The hoagie is amazing. Soft and fluffy yet held up well to the toppings. They have a great choice of sandwiches. The owner is very friendly and did a great job of making sure we got what we wanted on our sandwiches. They have ice cream also which is an added bonus

Midway Deli has the best deli sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’ve never been disappointed. The bread is amazing, the ingredients are quality and fresh, the service is always thorough and attentive, there are food and drink options for the whole family. West Salem is lucky to have this local gem!

The absolute best. The food is exactly what we love from Midway, always fresh and so tasty. The owner was so kind and played with my toddler son with the toys they had there at the restaurant while we ate. We felt so welcomed in a way we haven’t experienced elsewhere. This is a true gem.

We stopped today for lunch. Riding on the bike trail from Sparta. I ordered the 1/2 New Yorker and a cup of soup. The chicken wild rice soup was great. The sandwich however had less meat then I’ve ever seen on a sandwich. Literally a third of a slice of paper thin pastrami and a third of a slice of cornbeef and the same amount of turkey. What a disappointment. I mentioned it to 2 employees but they really didn’t care. Guess we’ll cross it off our list for future.
