I finally made it out to Delaney House on a whim. I went out solo and wanted to sit at a table. I know solo diners usually sit at the bar but quite frankly, I didn’t want to sit up high nor stare at the bottles of liquor.
As a frequent solo diner, it’s usually a hit or miss at the type of service I receive because I’m sitting at a 2 top instead of at the bar. Tonight, Kelly treated me like any other guest and might I say it probably even better. I received the most kindest and thorough service from Kelly. Oh and the food was immaculate from the bruschetta, salmon and steak, risotto, down to the tuxedo cake. I would make no adjustments. Shout out to bartender as well because the cocktails were perfect! You’ll definitely see me again. Much sooner.

We celebrated a milestone birthday At Delaney’s last night. What an amazing dinner and atmosphere! I highly recommend this restaurant. We sat with 7 friends at a round table in a room that was full but never noisy (except for the noise we may have made!), and the meal was served elegantly. Drinks were amazing. Rack of lamb, short ribs, everything was absolutely delicious. Desserts were fantastic too. Once before, we celebrated our 50th anniversary in a private event catered by Delaney House. This restaurant, and Mick, do not disappoint. Everything is beautifully served, wonderfully cooked, and always worth it. I think it is the best restaurant in the Pioneer Valley, actually.

This was our second time in the past 4 months having dinner there. Let’s just say not as good as the first. Our server/bar staff gave my wife a drink that wasn’t what see ordered. replaced with one that see could drink. Took our appetizer order and then dinner order. then the salads came out never gave us salad plates, our salad never had dressing on it which was asked for and never brought us dinner rolls. Fortunately we were close to a server table that we could get our own plates for salad and once we asked for rolls he finally brought them out, after our dinner arrived. Our dinners were good, we asked for desserts. I asked for a cup of coffee that never came.
To say the least our dinner was what we had hoped for. the service was not. This want discourage us going back, as well hope that the service well be better.

The inside of the building has an elegant, cozy atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, we were a bit disappointed with the food. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was filled mostly with mashed potatoes instead of chunks, which wasn’t what I expected. My husband liked his meal but also felt he might have preferred something else. Appetizers were absolutely delicious. We ordered the pierogis and short rib bites. Overall, a cozy place for a nice meal, we will have to try something else next time.

We had my Daughters bridal shower Sunday April 13th at the Delaney house. I cannot recommend them enough! It was perfect in every way! The room was beautiful , the staff was amazing (our waitress Morgan went above and beyond and Nicole who was the contact person was so responsive and helpful) the food was out of the this world, so many options.

Good was incredible. Service was great. Attention to detail was on point. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here after getting married in this exact location. It brought back all the feels again. They surprised us with a spritzer toast for us to share. We’ll be back !

I recently worked with The Delaney House to plan a company holiday party. The entire team was so helpful and pleasant to interact with. The night of the party went off without a hitch. The room was beautifully decorated for winter, the food was abundant and delicious, and the staff was incredible. The Delaney House is definitely worth considering for any special occasion.

Circling back to write my experience from my 6 year engagement anniversary celebration dinner from 8/14/22 after seeing how relatively high (4.3 stars as of writing this) the reviews are despite how horrible of a consistent experience we’ve had here. While this review is for one specific instance, I’ve had half a dozen meals here all of which were mediocre at best and aggressively terrible at worse.
On our last visit on 8/14/22, knowing the past track record wasn’t great food, service, or otherwise (atmosphere isn’t terrible), we went here hoping for an improvement in experience since it has been some time since our last visit and we had reviewed gift cards as a gift in the past. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience we’ve had to date and we won’t be returning on our own accord (notice many reviews are for events held here…)
All of the food was incorrectly cooked, under/improperly seasoned, and of a low quality. You can somewhat tell from the pictures upon receipt, but especially with what was left over. I never leave food, but other than choking down my meat for the protein, most of our dishes remained basically untouched. Service was poor throughout with the server never even wondering why we weren’t eating our food. She ultimately cleared our mostly untouched plates like this was normal, a huge red flag. Even the ice cream dessert was of a low quality, freezer burned, and smothered in cool whip.
We left feeling like we were robbed despite spending little of our own money on this meal. Both of us agree that even getting paid to eat here wouldn’t be worth it. Don’t come here because the prices or atmosphere signal you’ll have a good experience. Realize that any positive reviews are coming from uncalibrated expectations, event attendees, or those with a very low bar who want to feel like they didn’t get robbed. This place lives in infamy as one of the few “so bad it’s comedic” places that I tell stories to others about. I highly recommend you skip this establishment.
