We ordered the cheese curds, Cedar Planked Whitefish & the Wild Rice Burger. Everything was phenomenal. We had a table over looking the water with spectacular views of the islands. Food & atmosphere were an A+.

The blackened whitefish tacos were so dang good!!! One of my favorite meals of the vacation. Not a huge fan of ordering at the counter, but it was fine. Beautiful view too.

Food tasted great, especially the Apple burger. The atmosphere was excellent, I mean, you can’t get much better than rooftop location looking out over Lake Superior! The only qualm with this place is have is how insanely overpriced everything was. The burger I had was delicious, don’t get me wrong, but nowhere near worth 18 dollars. Burgers are not really a menu item that should reach anywhere near 20 dollars. 12, 13, maybe even 15 dollars, but absolutely no more than that. After filling out the menu the service while placing my own order was good but there was no other “service” other than that hence the 3 stars. You wait on yourself but are still asked to tip when paying which is before you eat. Tips are for great service, not just an assumed cost to tack on to the bill. If your not servicing tables, why are we we still being asked for tips?

In June, we visited the area and wanted to return to see the leaves change in October. We have always wanted to dine at The Deck, but assumed it might only be for clients of the Bayfield Inn. We were pleasantly surprised when told there was availability on The Deck. Of course, we had a beautiful view of the bay as we enjoyed a pleasant lunch. Our food was delicious and the service was perfect as well. The day was a beautiful 74 degrees with a slight wind so it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you for the highlight of a beautiful day in Bayfield. We look forward to being back another time.

My frozen watermelon margarita was excellent. Fish tacos lacked flavor. I recommend Pier Plaza for whitefish tacos instead; it’s twice as much fish and tastier due to their house sauce. My friends had salads, sans meat. They liked those.
You’re really up here for the rooftop view anyway. It’s first come first serve on the tables. It’s only counter service—at the bar. They add a 5% surcharge for kitchen/back staff.

So we usually don’t go the same place twice on vacation. Yet, here we are for the second night in a row. Put your name in at the top of the stairs, grab enjoy 1/2 of a rooftop lemonade, get seated, circle a menu with a fun red pencil, bring it to the bar and get your meal served in 10 minutes. Excellent views at sunset too.

What a fun restaurant! My husband and I went here once for lunch when we shared fish and chips and once for dinner where he enjoyed the fish tacos and I enjoyed a delicious burger. When we went for dinner, we were able to enjoy live music during our meal.
The atmosphere was fun, food was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere.
