We tried the fish and chips along with the shrimp and grits, and both dishes were outstanding. Everything was cooked just right, full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough to leave us completely satisfied. What truly set this visit apart were the thoughtful birthday touches—a complimentary cookie, a handwritten card from the staff, and even “Happy Birthday” printed on the menu. Those small details made the experience feel truly special and personal. It’s rare to find a place that puts so much care into both the food and the guest experience. I’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to my family in Chicago.

The Peruvian ceviche is amazing. Fresh, bright and perfectly balanced. The crispy buffalo chicken pizza is to die for. It’s creamy and rich from the mozzarella and blue cheese but the pickled onion and fried jalapeño balance it out perfectly. They also pour a top-notch pint of Guinness.
The service we had left nothing to be desired. Maggie, our server, was great and the atmosphere perfect. If you’re in Chicago, make sure to stop by.

Phenomenal !!!
Went for a birthday dinner and they accommodated our requests perfectly. 🙂 Our waitress, Melissa, was knowledgeable and friendly. She consistently checked up on us and made an amazing recommendation for the “HUNG UP ON LYCHEES” cocktail. Our busser was prompt and courteous. A visit to the table by Mr. Samuels is always welcome. 🙂 He genuinely seemed delighted to host us. 🙂

We made the right call in getting croquettes as a starter. We would 100% get a larger order of them to snack on. The salad was lovely.

The hot honey pizza & truffle fries combo was INSANE. We thought it would be smaller, as the menu didn’t list a size, but it was more than enough for us to feel satisfied. 🙂

With this being my 2nd visit to The Dearborn, I’m 100% a customer for life. 🙂

I met a friend after work at The Dearborn in Downtown Chicago. We both enjoyed our meal. She had the fish and chips and I had a cheeseburger. Both were great. I also loved my mocktail but I can’t remember the name. Thankfully I got a reservation because there were a lot of people dining after work. There may have been broadway play happening across the street too. But even with the crowd, my friend and I could hear our conversation which was great because we had plenty to catch up on!

The food quality is top notch. I Can see why the fish and chips are awarded the best. The cold slaw was only good.
Service good.Pricing high end.The automatic supplemental charge obscured at best.I say add it in to menu pricing.
Decor comfortable, casual, elegant.Don’t let the entry be a turn off.
Parking nearby in premium priced garages.
Overall a great asset in the heart of the theater district.
AWARDED 2.5 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3.

Came here once before and had the ceviche and fish & chips and decided to come back again. Had the sticky pork ribs and fried chicken. Both were sensational! Very tasty, very well cooked, very well seasoned. The bar has lots of cocktail, wine, and beer options with a great atmosphere that isn’t so noisy you can’t hear the person next to you. You won’t be disappointed if you come here.

The Dearborn offers a great mix of atmosphere, quality food, and a well-curated bar. The interior is stylish and inviting, with an upscale yet relaxed vibe that works equally well for dinner or drinks. The bar selection is excellent, and the cocktails are well made.

Food quality is very solid – the fish and chips were crispy and flavorful, and the salad was fresh and well balanced. Service was friendly and professional, even during busy hours, and the overall experience felt smooth and well managed.

A very enjoyable spot with character. Just a bit noisy when crowded, but overall highly recommended.

Great place for lunch. Right across from the Daley Center. Great vibes a few days before Christmas! For is good! Had the Rueben which is solid. My daughter had the burger and loved it! Mildly expensive. But a good spot for a quick sit down lunch.

Stopped by after a show at the Chicago Theatre — super convenient location.

Nice spot with a classic tavern aesthetic. The waiter was great and attentive, and the drinks were solid. The Manhattan was well done!

The only downside was the wait time for the burrata, which was well over 30 minutes and felt a bit long given how busy it was.

Overall, a great pre- or post-show option downtown, and I’d definitely give it another try.
