We each had a burger and beer.
Pros: Food was delicious, beer was cold and there was a very good selection. The staff was very welcoming, and were fast.
Cons: I know it’s a small thing, but I like when a restaurant will allow the option of how done you’d like your burger. This is the only thing I wish was different.
Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to returning.

We have stopped here many times on our travels north or south. Always satisfied. This trip they had done a bit of floor plan change and rearranging. Noticed the positive right away. Sat at the bar next to the sweetest woman from Pike Lake and had quite a nice visit. Crew behind the bar awesome, food was so dang good and a very tasty Bloody! Don’t pass up having a bite to eat here. Nice and clean!

ive been wanting to visit this establishment for quite some time..well, I finally got the opportunity too..dawgs is a really nice big and clean restaurant and bar..i sat at the bar..i must say that the bartender was super friendly and kind..not much of a tap selection ..was disappointed with that..I ordered a basket of deep fried mushrooms with sides of extra ranch and blue cheese dip.. the dips were not that tasty..seemed more like store bought..idk.. just a hunch..ordered 1 lb of boneless wings wetted with mango habenero sauce with fries.. now these made up for the shroom order, but mind you I had to use the dips that I didn’t care much for..so I gave Dawgs 3 stars for the great service and set up of the restaurant bar..Plenty of TV’s to watch from.

Stopped at the Dawghouse on a random trip, and really enjoyed the breakfast pizza! The Vikings were playing, so there was a fun atmosphere (and free Jell-O shot after a TD!) Great service too!

We started out late from St Paul and knew we couldn’t quite make it to Ely before our resort restaurant would be closed. Thought maybe we would skip it, but decided we were hungry enough to find a place to stop off. Great choice! Excellent food, played a round of pool while we waited for our food. I’ll plan on stopping off again next time I’m headed this way.

We were here before going to Hellwig Hollow. The food was actually really good, but it took over an hour to get it! We watched the server come out with four plates and walk around the entire area we were sitting. We were the only table with four people but he did not stop at our table, instead giving our food to somebody else. They put a number on your table so I’m not sure how he completely missed us! Turns out it was indeed our food and those people touched it so now we had to wait for them to make our meals again! We were comped a second round of drinks which was nice but it would have been nicer to get our food correctly. We were seated in the area where they must have receptions and things like that and it was not cozy. It was cold and the chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever sat in. Prices were quite high for a bar and grill but there’s nothing else out there so I guess that kind of makes sense.

The bartender gave someone she knew a menu with specials on it that were good till noon, but didn’t say anything to me about it and gave me the full price menu. I won’t be back. PS: my burger was cooked to oblivion and the fries were fries. Atmosphere, prices.

My last visit was in September of 2021. I performed there at the Dawgfest event with my band The Buzzardz. Everyone at the Dawgfest was helpful and happy to have us make the night memorable. Great place, good people and grand memories.

Stopped twice a few weekends ago. It was a great place to stop and have a great meal or warm up while riding snowmobile!
