Although the food prices are kind of steep here, we always enjoy the food and atmosphere. The rice bowl is fantastic, although I would suggest adding more rice and/or power greens to make the portion feel worth the steep price. The pork portion size is fantastic though. Almost perfect dish! The spring rolls taste fresh and the mac and cheese bites are pretty darn good. The tables are clean and there is free self serve water available. We really enjoy the overall atmosphere here as it feels vibrant and cozy all at once. This place is a pretty good spot!

The DAM Shop is a pretty cool, family-friendly stop for food, drinks, shopping, and all your last-minute boating needs. Located next to the city boat ramp and a short walk to the city marina, this business model blends well in the 4,000 sq ft metal facility that includes a full-service espresso bar, food & beverage options (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), a retail store, full-service cocktail bar, restrooms, and marine pro shop. I love the food truck located INSIDE the restaurant, the outside seating/recreational area, and oh yeah, the mantra: Dam good coffee, DAM Good Food, DAM Good Views. Looking forward to stopping back at The Dam Shop again and again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and unique. I’ve never seen a marina with a built in food truck and a bar.
I think they’re prices need to be adjusted for the off season. $45 for two cups of coffee and two breakfast sandwiches.

overall a good place to get food in Northern Michigan. I will say, a little oversalted eggs though. They didn’t hear my mom’s order so they gave it to her for free. They were very accommodating and friendly.

The best espresso martini I’ve ever had! Kudos to Zach for his excellent service. Our food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great! Definitely impressed and we will stop every time we are in the area!

Went there this afternoon, and had a mixed experience. My rice bowl with chicken was very good, though small for the price, but my daughter couldn’t finish her hot chicken sandwich. She said that the flavor of the breading was good, but the chicken was so dry and stringy, that it was unappealing.

I was overwhelmed with gratitude when stopping into the Dam Shop yesterday. The attentive service offered by Mike the manager and other employees was pleasantly surprising. Mike was extremely welcoming and took extra time and effort to accommodate my daughter’s food sensitivities. Also, we have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the baristas – Sarah, Emily and Audi – love them! Their friendly and helpful nature goes a long way. My daughter and I love the coconut milk option for lattes. We just love this place for so many reasons. The DAM shop all the way!

T’was great, all around! Might wish for a larger ranch cup, but great Cherry Chicken wrap and Mac n Cheese bites. Outdoor seating (and indoor), mostly clean bathrooms (went on July 4th, so trash was over filled and floor had some trash on it). Friendly staff!
