Bagels are good and fresh, bacon was little bit hard. They have variety of bagels, cream cheese, and coffees. The place is small so it was like a bit crowded. I love the Irish late

Heart of the area that serves the community its caffeine fix and round roll goodness. The site is cozy, and table spaces are limited to your plan on dining there. The bagel selection is decent enough, and there are some great cream cheese selections.

The eagle sandwich offerings are standard, but pay attention to the options. Most places for the morning sandwiches are egg, cheese, and meat choice. This place it is all optional, so if you wanted egg, cheese, and bacon, make sure to say that, or you might have a sad 8 year old. Also asked for the bagel to be toasted as that seems not standard there. Coffee was good, and the selection of specialty drinks was a standard afair.

Just a huge “meh.” Got our food fast even though it was busy, but the food itself was so bland and disappointing. I got the caprese bagel sandwich. Tomatoes were mushy, basil was wilted and soggy, and the bagel was a bit underbaked. The smallest bit of balsamic vinegar could be seen on one of the bagels. Bland ingredients, bland sandwich. Not fun to eat at all so I didn’t finish. Disappointing

Neighborhood favorite bagel shop with great offerings. Their bagel sandwiches are inventive, and it’s very nice getting your choice of bagel for the sandwich. The shop itself is small, but there are still a few good seats. Definitely a more grab and go spot for me. I very much enjoyed my sandwich – The Neighbor. The cream cheese was made with the filling from fellow business Thai Neighbor’s crab Rangoon. Absolutely amazing.

I recently stopped by The Daly Bagel in Oak Park and came away impressed. Their bagels are chewy and satisfying, with a good crisp crust and soft interior. A few things stood out:

What I loved:
• Great flavor and texture — they do a solid job with “New York–style” bagels.
• Excellent sandwich options — the “Ultimate” (whitefish spread + extras) has been singled out by Chicago Magazines as one of the standout dishes in the area.
• Warm, local feel — the shop’s story (from the owner baking at home to opening a storefront) gives it a community charm.
• Coffee and spreads complement the bagels well, making it a nice spot for breakfast or a light lunch.

What could be better:
• Seating is limited — there are only a couple of small tables and a bench, so during busy times you might need to take your bagel to go.
• Because they make things fresh and with care, some items (especially special sandwiches or spreads) might sell out early.
• Sometimes the shop feels a little cramped if there are many customers inside at once.

All in all, The Daly Bagel is a solid gem in Oak Park. If you love good bagels and want to support a local place with personality, it’s definitely worth a visit. Would I go back? Absolutely.

We tried six different bagels and they were are delicious. To drink we ordered 2 chai lattes, we ordered 1 hot and 1 iced but we got 2 iced ‍♂️. We ordered the following bagel sandwiches. Cute place.
7:30am on a Saturday found parking & no line, no wait.

The Obvious needed way more pickled red onions, tomato, cucumbers and capers. Think there was one of each. Good chunk of lox though.

The Sweet & Tart was perfect & a little sweet.

$37 for three bagels sammys.

My mom recommended this place so after a cancelled breakfast date, I decided to take myself to breakfast. The Daly Bagel did not disappoint. I tried THE OBVIOUS, the lox & cream cheese sandwich! It really was everything I hoped it would be. My, now mature, palette was very happy! I had a Black Lavender tea latte with mint & oat milk. This was recommended by the barista and it was a nice match for the sandwich. I was able to dine in because I arrived at 8am. Once I ordered, the line was NONSTOP, as this is a local NEIGHBORHOOD GEM! If you’re in Oak Park, stop by Daly Bagel! I tried to get a nicer pic of the menu but the line was never ending! Next time…

I hate to rate this place so low because I love the food. I used to frequent Daily Bagel but as of late, they refuse to toast my bagel. I ask for toasted every time and they just won’t toast it. But they sure slather on the cream cheese meaning I can’t toast it myself. It happened again today. I think I’m going to have to find a new bagel place. Very disappointed. I hope the owner actually reads these reviews and does something about it.
