Service was attentive, the atmosphere was warm and well-designed, and the overall vibe felt dialed in—both inside and out. Their outdoor seating is a great spot to post up on a warm, sunny day, adding another layer to the experience.
I started with an ordered the open-faced empanadas. Then the Grilled Chicken BLT with fries, and a cocktail. The sandwich was solid—juicy, tender chicken with a clean build that held together well with the sourdough bread. Fries were fresh and crisp. The cocktail— was a little weak. Could have been stronger.
The empanadas were a standout. Open-faced with tender short rib and a chipotle aioli that paired well without overpowering the dish. Balanced, flavorful, and worth ordering again.
Overall, food was good but not surprising—especially since I’m already a fan of their sister restaurants in Philly.
I’d definitely consider coming back for dinner to see how the evening menu stacks up. If you’re in the area and want a reliable spot. It’s worth visiting.
My biggest issue was the portion size of the salmon. It cost $32. My attached photo is after only 2 bites, and I’d estimate the whole piece was maybe six bites total. When I mentioned the portion size to our server, she asked if I would like to order something more. Since I finished before the other three at my table, I ordered a side Caesar salad. The right thing would’ve been to comp the salad given the entree was clearly undersized, but they didn’t.
Our bill came to over $200 for four people with only 2 alcoholic drinks, and to top it off, my friend paid with an ATM card and they still attempted to charge him their 3% “EBC” credit card fee!
The Detroit-style pizza was a delightful surprise—light and flavorful, unlike the denser style you’d find in Chicago. My group also tried the Mojo Chicken, Smash Burger, and Coconut Shrimp Salad, and each of us was thrilled with our choice.
The service was outstanding—attentive and friendly. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place won’t disappoint. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!
We tried the pickle pizza, and as odd as it might sound, it was delicious! Granted, I do have a soft spot for anything pickle-related, but this one surprised me in the best way.
I especially want to thank Melissa, who helped me plan the event. Working with her was a pleasure. She provided helpful information and went above and beyond to assist with every detail, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Thanks to Melissa’s support and the entire team’s dedication, the party was a great success and a memorable evening for all.
I highly recommend The Daisy Tavern for anyone looking to host a group gathering or simply enjoy a nice dinner. The combination of excellent food, superb service, and outstanding hospitality makes it a top choice for any occasion.
