If you come here you should set your expectations right. If you want a local rough and ready diner experience this is for you. If you are looking for eggs Benedict go somewhere else. Expect quickly and efficiently prepared simple comfort food. The croissant was very good. Expect the servers to know most of the people who come in.

This is exactly what it is. An old school diner. Staff is efficient, the cooks are fast, and the kitchen is in plain sight. If you sit at the counter, you see every meal get prepared, which I think is neat. The cooks move so fast and work as a team. It’s a tight, small place but the food is good and they price is right. If you’re looking for an upscale, cozy joint, this ain’t it. If you want good food fast, this is your place. I recommend the pancakes, mushroom, Swiss burger or Western omelet.

Its the go-to spot whenever I and my crew are near. Can’t beat what you get for the bill, including the friendly, personable atmosphere. Love this place, and it’s the kind of small family business that needs to stay alive, so come here, have some coffee, order a special, talk up the man in front of the grill or the serving staff, they’ll appreciate you!

Came in for lunch after hearing about a good deed this restaurant had done for someone in the community. My co worker and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service we were given. Food was delicious and very prompt. Drink cups were never empty and the atmosphere was very inviting. Pricing is on par with other diners in the area. I’ll be back again. THANKS!

Such a great place to eat! I love the environment and the nostalgia of the place. The food is the best in the area hands down! Salute to John and Jackie that run the joint. If you’re ever in the area, stop in at 991 West Huron Waterford Michigan. They are open until 2 p.m. Open 8am on Sundays. Try the Melted Club with bacon,turkey, mayo and swiss. The Lentil soup is delicious. One of the last American small diners. Check them out.

Loved this place as The Daily, but found out the landlord is terminating their lease so that he can run another restaurant under his name. Not sure if I want to frequent this jerk because of what he’s doing.
