Absolutely fantastic lunch outing! I had the salmon with steamed broccoli and cheesy grits. Hubby had the burger with sweet potato fries. The grits were amazing, so glad I tried grits for the first time. Hubby said his food was great. Glad we stopped here on our trip today.

The atmosphere was perfect for a laid back date night in our stay in lynchburg. We did get a few drinks, fried pickles (that were amazing), dinner of course, and two desserts to go! Our server Alexis was awesome and made incredible margaritas!!!

Had the steak and my husband had the scallops. We also had the Cajun crab dip appetizer. Everything was good and had enough to take home.

We came in for a nice, mid-level dinner. We thought the place had a pretty cool, lightly upscale atmosphere. A bit casual. Our dinner was phenomenal. We shared the Pair Flat Irons, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad. Our waiter, who was also bar tending at that time, was great.

First visit to The Dahlia. It’s a little off the beaten path and over an hour drive for me. Parking is mainly street parking, but not a huge issue. There is a small outdoor dining area in front, and the small main dining area on the top level. We made reservations for the “Cellar”, but honestly were not needed on this particular Saturday night. The Cellar has a nice tavern vibe to it, adjacent to the downstairs bar. I got the seared Wahoo over mushroom asparagus risotto tomato beurre blanc. The title alone was a mouthful, and so very tasty. Very generous portions of Wahoo, which is hard to find in most restaurants I frequent. The risotto was creamy and not dry at all. My wife got the Grilled Chicken Tacos. Loaded with chicken and excellent flavors. We split the Molasses Cake with cream cheese filling and cinnamon sugar butter cream icing. Delicious huge slice and enough for two. Perfect way to end the meal. Prices are a little on the high side, but considering the quality ingredients, flavors, choices, and portion size it is totally warranted. Looking forward to our next visit!

Hands down The Dahlia is one of the best brunch spots in town. My wife and I first went in 2017 on a friend’s recommendation. We’ve been many times since, and between us have tried every item on the menu. There’s something for everyone, and in terms of value you can’t compare when you consider you get a free drink (bloody mary, mimosa, or other non alcoholic options).
The food is always excellent and clearly made my people who care what they serve. Eggs surry is one of my favorite meals I’ve ever had outside of my own home..it’s truly a spectacular dish. I get it nearly every time I go and it’s probably the best $16 you’ll ever spend.

Not what it used to be. There was a time when Dahlia was WAY BETTER!!! Used to have a better menu. Now they do okay for what they offer. Once upon time they were easily 4.5 stars. Now… I give them 3.5 stars.

My mother wanted a good beer battered fish fry for her 87th birthday so we took her to The Dahlia. It did not disappoint! The best fish fry around by far! My dad said “Wow, even the tarter sauce is good!” (He’s a bit picky about these things!) We also had the bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious!! She has decided she wants to go there every year on her birthday now. We ate downstairs and found it very cozy. They were pretty busy so it took about 30 minutes to get our food, but it was worth the wait.

The food was good but I think it can be better. The steak was cooked perfectly and saved the meal but the sides were uninspiring with wet grits and over toasted chips. I could tell theyre using a microwave in the kitchen and i think the price was a bit more than for the above to be acceptable. Will go again though.

The food was delicious! Speakeasy vibe with lower “cellar” dining area. Tavern style seating. Ordered a caesar and house salad, both were wonderful. The croutons were incredible, baked fresh in-house. We split an order of crabcakes and the Faroe salmon, with side orders of cheesy grits, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Maybe the best crabcakes we’ve ever had. All of it was amazing. DEFINITELY order the cognac bread pudding. I will certainly come back next visit to Lynchburg. Four stars because of our two drinks, The Orchid and the house Sangria, were both lacking. Probably would not order drinks here again. Ask for Eric. He was a wonderful server.
