Reviews
The customer service is excellent. We have a honor to meet Mr. Shandy, he was neighborly explaining everything about the cousine.
It worth swinging by here, I really recommend.
Staff was wonderful for us, timing was good and they were on top of things. The owner is a character. I was hoping he would’ve been a little more helpful with helping us to explain the menu to us so we could make a wise decision on what to order but that wasn’t the case. Either way he gave us good customer service and made us feel very welcome.
Price was a little on the high end but was well worth the money. We were the first ones at this place but were almost the last ones to start eating. Place was really busy and I would say we waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. Once our food arrived the wait was well worth it. The bread, the lamb curry and the rice were delicious. Portions were filling and leave you satisfied. Overall I was really satisfied with this place and will definitely be coming back for more.

We started with the appetizers, and wow—the garlic cauliflower (often called “Camarillo Crack” by locals) is a unique treat! Crispy, battered florets tossed in a garlicky, tangy sauce that’s addictive and unlike any cauliflower dish I’ve tried. Paired with the Chicken 65, spicy, fiery fried chicken bites bursting with bold South Indian flavors, these were standout starters that set the tone for an unforgettable meal. But the real stars? The fresh naan is outstanding—pillowy soft, hot from the tandoor, with that perfect char and buttery finish. It arrives piping hot, and you’ll find yourself tearing off pieces nonstop. We ordered garlic and plain varieties, and they were flawless for scooping up the mains. And the chicken tikka masala? World-class. Tender, charred chicken pieces swimming in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that’s perfectly balanced—spicy yet smooth, aromatic with just the right blend of spices. It’s the kind of dish that ruins other versions for you forever. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting. Whether you’re a Indian food veteran or newcomer, The Curry Leaf nails authenticity with flair. Sandy and his team have created something special here—a must-visit for anyone in Ventura County craving top-tier Indian fare. I’ll be back soon!
Highly recommended—5 stars!
