Great Lunch Spot with a Fresh, Modern Feel

I stopped by Café Rosé for lunch and really enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere is bright, open, and fresh — lots of soft pink tones, gold accents, and a relaxed modern vibe. It’s not really a bar, but they do serve alcohol, and I think adding a wine flight option would be a nice touch if they ever decide to expand their drink offerings.

I had the Mushroom Melt, which was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. It came with a fruit cup that was sweet, colorful, and refreshing. I also tried the Espresso Martini — a bit sweet for my taste since I usually prefer something more espresso-forward and bitter, but it had a nice smoothness that I think came from Bailey’s Irish Cream.

Heather, my server, was great — attentive and friendly. There was another waitress who seemed a little annoyed, but no judgment — everyone has off days. The owner actually brought my food out quickly, which I appreciated. She seemed a bit nervous, maybe because I was taking photos, but she was efficient and professional. Maybe not super chatty, but totally understandable given how busy they were.

Overall, Café Rosé is a beautiful spot in Morgantown with great food, excellent service, and a really pleasant atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

The cupcakes are scrumptious! She has a nice variety of flavors everyday. My favorite is Red Velvet! There is parking by the door. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I requested a cake on December 19th for a retirement party on the 30th. Went over everything with the cupcake lady Heather and confirmed everything. The day before the party I went by to pay for the cake and the establishing it was close, I proceeded to call just to confirm the pick up for the next day for the three tier cake. Around 830 that night I get a text saying that they was not gonna be able to make the cake due to. She couldn’t get a hold of me. I was going back-and-forth with the Cupcake Lady Heather which she was very sweet and said I needed to get in contact with the owner after trying to get in contact with the owner by calling and Texting her she finally responded and said that she would make the cake this was on Monday night. I was due to pick the cake up on Tuesday morning, but we changed the time until 1 o’clock Tuesday. I get there on Tuesday at 12:45. The cake wasn’t done until 130 and it was nothing like what we had discussed and the was very dry and the price change tremendously I don’t mind paying for something if it’s what we discussed and I didn’t get what we discussed. The retirement party started at 2 and I’m rushing back in with the cake. My overall experience with ordering the cake with Heather was great, but I don’t think that Heather and her boss are all on the same page with the ordering process. This was my first experience with them and it wasn’t great. Hopefully they can get on the same page and it won’t happen to someone else.

Absolutely loved this hidden gem! I ordered avocado eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns for brunch. Everything was delicious! I got a red velvet cupcake which was very rich.

First time at The Cupcakerie Café & Frosé, and it was fantastic! I had the Harvest Cobb Salad, which was absolutely delicious, and paired it with a boozy shaken espresso made with Quantum Bean Coffee — the perfect combination! Everybody in my group enjoyed their food, and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. I can’t wait to bring my daughter back to try the Monte Cristo! Highly recommend!

Very cute concept, nice ambiance and great drinks. The food however is abysmal. Which is sad because this is supposed to be a cafe and not a bar. The chef sent out two homemade biscuits that looked like a kid had messed up making small pancakes. I was truly shocked that a place that seemed so nice, actually had the audacity to service biscuits like that, gravy which you could taste the raw flour in and eggs benedict with solid yolk. All for a pretty high price for a morgantown cafe! I want to emphasize that the food was so bad that if I made something like that, I would be too embarrassed to let anyone eat it, let alone sell it to someone. I wish I took photos of the biscuits but the sad looking eggs is all I got.

I really wanted to like this place given the ambiance and drinks. I have never been this disappointed at a restaurant. They really need to either hire a chef or send whoever is working in the kitchen to culinary school. Halfway decent food would make this a place I would visit again. But I’m not going back to a place where the food seemed to be made by someone pretending to play chef. I don’t normally write google reviews, especially not bad ones. I just genuinely want this place to do better so I can have tasty frosés with something to eat for brunch. Hope things change.

So, here I was, on a mission to find the perfect sweet birthday bash bites for my hubby’s big 40th. I suddenly remembered a neighbor mentioning a place to me last year-enter The Cupcakerie, a.k.a. Cupcake Wonderland! Their website was like a treasure chest, brimming with cupcakes of every stripe and swirl. Imagine a flavor, and bam, they had it, plus more you hadn’t thought of!

A week before the celebration, I placed an order for an assortment of both regular and mini-sized cupcakes, choosing flavors that spanned from the adventurous to the classic: P’NUTTY FOR CHOCOLATE, SWEET & SALTY, CHOCOLATE CARAMEL KISSES, MOUNTAIN MAMA, and COOKIES ‘N CREAM.

Let me tell you, biting into these cupcakes was like stepping into a flavor festival. After having one you found yourself having this inner battle on whether you should or should not go back for more. The P’Nutty for Chocolate? A crowd-pleaser with a secret Reese’s stash that had everyone buzzing. And my husbands favorite is Reese’s so I already knew he would like them. However he was ready to fight wars over them. The Sweet and Salty was like the beach—sunshine and waves in cupcake form. And MOUNTAIN MAMA? A hike through deliciousness with a surprise apple butter campsite in the middle.

But wait, thats not all. The cake was so moist, it was like biting into a cloud (if clouds were edible and tasted like heaven). And the frosting? Not the usual sugar shock that I’ve been known to just push off because it’s overbearing. I’m talking just-right sweetness that danced perfectly with the cake. That peanut butter icing on the P’Nutty was like floating on a fluffy cloud of peanut butter yum.

If you’re reading this with your mouth watering but on the fence about ordering from The Cupcakerie, hop off and just order. Seriously, these cupcakes stole the show at the party which I am really glad too because I’m trying to stay in shape for an upcoming cruise, and I just cannot take the temptation of left over cupcakes. Not these ones.

It’s rare for me to leave reviews about something, let alone at 1 am, but here I am, typing away because these cupcakes deserve it. They’re not just treats; they’re little bundles of joy that spark conversations and smiles. So, whether it’s a big bash or a quiet night in, let The Cupcakerie’s magic turn your moments into memories. Although my figure may not like it, I am already looking forward to next month’s cupcake and beer festival so I can dive into their other flavors. Keep that cupcake magic coming!

This place is very lovely! The customer service was great! My sisters and I tried an assortment of cupcakes: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate, Cookies and Cream, Red Velvet, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Raspberry Lemonade. The best was the Raspberry lemonade and Pumpkin…the others were ok, nothing out the ordinary. Definitely would go back for the raspberry! Great decor!

Love this local joint, especially for breakfast or lunch. We haven’t gone for dinner yet but when we drive by they look pretty busy. They source most of the menu from local farms and we have always enjoyed their food. This last time we came in, we found they had expanded their menu, so many yummy new items. On occasion we will treat ourselves to one of their yummy cupcakes. Highly recommend this place.
