We ate here from out of town. Upon entry the service was fantastic. They were so inviting and loving, almost as if we were family. We started with the oysters which were creamy and perfect. The sour dough rolls were awesome. I want the yeast! The grilled and fried catfish were great. The catfish literally melted in your mouth. The jambalaya was rich and tasty. The shrimp and muscles paired well in it. It had a nice soft spice. The cheesecake pie was easily top 10 we’ve ever had. The pecan praline ice cream pie was absolutely phenomenal. Needless to say we didn’t leave hungry.

Such a long- standing legacy! This Local Greenwood Establishment is absolutely fabulous! Our evening out was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had.
The salad is so cold and fresh, and as always, the dressing is carefully crafted. Our entrees and gumbo along with oysters left nothing to long for. The fried livers are a local delicacy and these will do much justice to the all- iconic recipe that crystal has become known for for nearly a century. The pasta dishes spoke well to the elegant flavors of the Italian – American combination of culture known to be found in the Mississippi Delta.
Crystal will never disappoint with their over- the- top desserts. These are Delicacies to long after!
Step back in time and enjoy the “Crystal Club“ atmosphere that has been so heavily sought after for so many years. Let Mr. And Mrs. Ballas know how much you loved your time in this nostalgic relic restaurant located in the heart of what one can only refer to as, a True Southern Icon.

A great restaurant in the heart, Greenwood Louisiana. The food was great, and the service was outstanding. If you are looking for some home cooking, look no farther. There were six of us, and everyone enjoyed their meals and left full and happy.

This was my first visit to this established restaurant near downtown. The decor is very attractive (chandeliers, paintings) and there are several dining rooms. I had the chicken fried steak which was tasty. The meal comes with two vegetables, tea or coffee, and rice pudding. The food arrived quickly on this Saturday, less than 10 minutes after ordering. Pies with sky-high meringue are displayed for sale near the counter at the front where you pay before leaving.

This is a gem of a restaurant in the middle of Mississippi well worth a little detour off the highway drive from New Orleans to St Louis !

I googled best pie in Mississippi & found this place!

Mind you the sign says Crystal Cafe! They have diner options and then a fancier finer dining options! They also have a relatively full bar in their back dining area too!

We had the chocolate cream pie & the coconut cream pie!! Both were impressive! We will definitely be back through!

The hot roast beef sandwiches were delicious!

The best dozen baked oysters I’ve ever eaten. Great food, wide ranging selection, & prompt service even when busy ( THANKS Tiny). Pies are excellent. Highly recommend this cultural icon.

Locally owned place with history. Huge menu, that could use some updating. Plates are huge and heavy. The “famous” lemon icebox pie was barely average.

A gem of a place. Friendly staff! Wide variety of Southern cuisine and Italian options as well. Gumbo was delish! You get a huge piece of homemade coconut (or chocolate) pie with your entrees! So glad we took the recommendation…you’ll be glad you did, too!

I WISHED THAT I LIVED RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE “CRYSTAL GRILL”! THE FOOD WAS SUPERB! COOKED WITH PERFECTION AND THEN SOME. SO MUCH CHARACTER SINCE THEY OPENED IN 1933. FROM THE GREETER, WAITRESS, TO THE CHEFS…TOP OF THE LINE.

I never thought I would say anything positive about this place but the service and food (try the dressing)were great and the atmosphere has that Ole south feel to it which I loved . I’m from Greenwood so I know a lot about the history of The Crystal Grill and as a African American I will never forget but I will let the pass be the pass.
