An excellent Thai restaurant in Paris
Papaya salad was quite good despite not being Thai spicy (you can ask for some chili and fish sauce to your like)
The angus beef was excellent and its dipping sauce as well.
My chicken green curry was a little watery but quite tasty.
All in all, tables are too close to one & another but the place is enjoyable
Happy to come back and taste different food again! Too bad it misses Thai spiciness tho!

I’m Thai, and I can say the flavors are authentically Thai. However, some ingredients are a bit off—for example, Pad Thai should have garlic chives (ใบกุ่ยช่าย), not coriander (ผักชี).

The service could also be improved. When paying by card, the machine prompts for a tip of 10–20%. This feels unnecessary—we’re not in the USA. At the very least, it should clearly give the option to select “No tip.” in a SMALL corner.

The prices are quite expensive compared to other Thai restaurants in Paris.

The only thing crying after a lunch at Crying Tiger is you—out of joy! I had a flavorful chicken satay with a fresh coriander salad, paired with their homemade iced tea (not sugary at all, just as I like it). A perfect combo for a warm Saturday afternoon. I’m not usually a big fan of Thai food, but this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in the genre. The staff were friendly, smiling, and fast, and the mixed crowd of locals and shoppers gave the place a great vibe. We didn’t manage to get a table outside—our fault for not booking—but it hardly mattered. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the 6th!

What an incredible experience – from the food to the atmosphere to the service, I wholeheartedly give it a thumbs up. I had been eager to visit this place for quite some time, and although it was a Tuesday and we hadn’t made a reservation, we were surprised to find the place packed. Nonetheless, the waiter kindly asked us to wait at the bar for a few minutes and managed to seat us in no time.
The menu was straightforward, so we decided to share multiple dishes to sample as much as possible. We opted for a Thai beef salad, Vegetable Pad Thai noodles, Green beef curry, Yellow curry with shrimps, and a crying tiger marinated beef. Each dish exceeded our expectations, and I won’t delve into lengthy descriptions as I would rate them all above 8/10. However, if I had to pick two winners, they would be the Thai beef salad and the green curry.
This place has officially become my go-to spot for Thai cuisine.

Now I know why the tiger is crying…

Had wanted to try this place for a while as often looks busy when we walk past. The food was really excellent, one of the best pad Thai I’ve had outside of Thailand, and the staff were all super friendly.

However, we went Saturday lunch time so it was fairly busy, and this meant our drinks took ages to come (it turns out the order wasn’t put through), we had to ask 3 times for water, a broken glass bottle wasn’t cleaned up right away (so there were people stepping over broken glass to get in/out and I was worried about all the little dogs walking past haha!). Being fussy, the beer needed to be a fair bit colder or served in a frosty glass.

That being said, all in all it’s a great location with lots of outside seating, serving top notch Thai food and just a few too many little niggles to be a 5 star experience in my book this time.

This small unassuming restaurant in the St. Germaine area was a surprise hit! Who knew that you could have authentic, perfectly seasoned Thai in the heart of Paris? We ordered Tom Yum Goong, which is my litmus test for Thai food. It was incredible. I ordered the Crying Tiger beef dish and my husband ordered the tofu sautéed with mushrooms and basil. The Tiger came with a side a sauce that I wanted to eat with a spoon. We usually eat basil noodles with tofu, so the sautéed tofu was a great option for one avoiding noodles. But the tofu was chopped a little smaller (and not fried as we are accustomed) but it did not detract from the experience at all. We finished with the mango sticky rice which was outstanding. Highly recommend for friendly service and excellent food. It was packed at 7:30 on a Sunday night so definitely make a reservation.

We had a nice evening, food was good and the interior is beautiful.

Food:
Papaya salad which was delicious. I can fully recommend the beef with steamed rice, very tasty! The green curry with chicken was mediocre imo, nothing special but still good.

Rest:
What I love is their logo and that it’s also found on their plates, shirts, mirror.. it’s done beautifully, not too much.

We tried to go their spontaneous before and it was fully booked so I’d advise you to book a table if you plan to go in the evening.

This is a great Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, despite having solid, confirmed reservations—complete with confirmation SMS messages and verbal confirmation by phone—we have never been able to dine in the main room. This has happened several times, which makes it difficult to see it as a one-off mistake.

I am not sure what is wrong with their reservation system, but in our experience it simply does not work. To make matters worse, the response from the staff has never been particularly empathetic or client-oriented.

I hope you are luckier than we were and manage to get a table, and that you enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, we were not, and we are tired of trying.

Excellent Thai food, not the most authentic but still very good. The ingredients are fresh and the service is kind. The decor is really nice too.
I will come back.
NB:
They don’t have baby chair unfortunately.
