I cannot say enough good things about The Crunch Pickle. This place is a gem. They offer more than three dozen sandwiches and I went with the Sophia. Absolutely incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and the kind of grilled sourdough that instantly tells you someone in the kitchen cares about what they serve.
Everything here feels homemade in the best possible way. The dill pickle soup was a standout. It had just the right amount of dill without overpowering the vegetables and the broth was rich and comforting. Easily one of the best soups I’ve had.
Their drink menu is wild in the most fun way. Tons of mocktails and creative soda mixes. I tried a Dr Pepper blend that was perfectly balanced. Sweet, smooth, and a great match with the meal.
The atmosphere is warm, the staff is genuinely friendly and inviting. The only tiny downside is that seating is a bit limited, but it didn’t take away from the experience at all.
If you’re anywhere near here, do yourself a favor and stop in. The Crunch Pickle is absolutely worth it.

The first time I tried the Crunchy Pickle, I thought it was a fluke, so I went for round two a few weeks later and it was consistent. Consistently one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! I’ll probably never order anything but the Highlander in the future, and I’ll be ok with that. The sandwich has a great soft buttery bun, flavorful thick cut provolone cheese with a very good mortadella deli meat along with crunchy pickles…of course. To me, it’s the perfect sandwich. The Sophia panini was really good as well. If you are in Howell around lunchtime, and you are in the mood for a really solid sandwich, the Crunchy Pickle will deliver.

It is Michigan in winter… it feels like 40 degrees outside. They have the doors open so there is a constant fridge breeze through the restaurant. hate it here so much. I’m eating in my coat I HATE THAT! My toes hurt. Why do they hate there customers??? Anyway the food was delicious.

Hands down the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had for a sandwich. Tons of options, all of which look so tasty. The club and Italian sandwiches were great. We also thoroughly enjoyed their dirty sodas. We will definitely be back! 🙂

Crunchy Pickle is hands down one of our favorite lunch spots! The sandwiches and soups are always delicious, fresh, and hit the spot every time. But what really makes this place special is the amazing staff—Andrea and her team are seriously the best. Everyone is so friendly and always smiling from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave.

Friendly staff, delicious sandwiches, and great giant deli pickles! My 18 month old stole my pickle and refused to give it back, not that I blame her. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Worth a visit for sure!
Do bear in mind it’s a fairly small place so if you go in during peak hours you may be better off taking your food to go. Common sense though.

First time experience at the Crunchy Pickle was very enjoyable. My wife and I were looking for a place to enjoy a lunch date, and realized we had never been to the CP. Looking at the online menu, we saw a number of sandwiches that looked enticing and made the 15 minute drive.
The whimsical pickle decor was very inviting and fun. The two folks in charge of production and service were hard at work but readily available to answer questions. We ordered a special chopped Italian salad and lunch special of half sandwich (the West Coast) and half salad (English Cottage). Everything was very fresh and I liked that the bread was light and not grilled with butter. The combo price was an excellent value, at $12.95 and was plenty of food for me. They also make a bunch of different hand crafted sodas and energy drinks, we got the latter, which was a peach pineapple flavor and tasted amazing.
The Crunchy Pickle is worth a visit, and we will 100% be returning to explore the menu!

I spent $32 on two deli sandwiches. Neither sandwich was better than what I could get at a hospital cafeteria. I’m so sorry. Most of my posts are favorable to the business, but I can’t endorse this place and won’t return.
On the upside, this cafe is charming, the workers were kind, and the location is nicely centered in the downtown area for easy access to portable food.

Got to stop into this Howell sandwich shop for a photo shoot and owner Andrea along with assistant Kristin were both very friendly and accommodating! The Crunchy Pickle is a nice casual small town deli with all the sandwiches and paninis having unique names. They also have an Italian sandwich inside a giant pickle which I thought was pretty unique!
While I did not get to sample anything, everything was freshly prepared, served hot or cold and looked absolutely delicious! They also serve ice cream, gelato, and have in-house custom sodas.
If you’re ever around Howell or passing through, give them a try!
