We had a group of 8 people, so we expected to have a bit of a wait with that many. But it went way beyond ridiculous. We were seated quickly, but thats the only positive thing that can be said. After waiting for almost 10 minutes just to order drinks, it seemed like our server forgot we were there. After another 10-15 minutes, we finally placed our food orders. I ordered the galley fries as an appetizer for the table. They came out, minutes before our main meals….an hour later! Apparently, our server thought it was more important to wrap silverware and talk to friends than to check on us to see if we needed drink refills or to give us updates on our food. Add to that, it wasnt great to see his pants halfway down his butt.
We got there around 7:00, our food came out after 8, and it was not a busy night in the restaurant or bar. Half of the food that was ordered was lukewarm, the steaks were not cooked as requested, they were overdone. One of the kids ordered the salmon and asked for it without the sweet chili sauce, but that didn’t happen either. Sorry to say, if we’re ever in Johnstown again, the Crows Nest will not be on our list of things to do.

First time here. Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Not to busy and we were waited on right away. Nice beer selection and a huge menu. I got a burger, it was very good and the wife got a chicken parmesan sandwich. All in all it was a good experience we will stop again when in the area.

Plenty of parking around the back. Patio has plenty of tables with umbrellas. Please note this establishment allows well-behaved doggos on the patio. Menu is quite extensive so may want to check it out online prior to dining just so you can save time.

On a gal’s road trip between Flight 93 National Memorial and Buttermilk Falls in Indiana, PA we were sooooo hungry for lunch. Being hungry on country roads just increases hunger, not passing by any restaurants. We ended up looking up nearby restaurants and found this one with Google review stars worthy of our visit.
It was well worth the visit. Our server was pleasant and efficient, the menu quite extensive, food flavorful, and price fair. We both opted for the Captain salad (me choosing chicken, my friend choosing steak) with fries on top. I also elected a pierogi starter for us to share. Everything was delicious.

We waited far to long for our server, we got there 615 and did not get our drinks until almost 7pm. The food did not come out until almost 8pm. My salmon was burned and the veggies were cold and the rice was overcooked and mushy. Very bad experience tonight.

We visited The Crows Nest today for dinner and a round of drinks. Unfortunately, our experience was not good to say the least. We did receive the first round of drinks without a problem. The original server was a bartender who came to take our drink order and did a great job, then main server brought them out, took our food order, and disappeared for 45 minutes.
When he, we never got his name as he did not share it, did eventually come back we requested another round of drinks and an update on our food. We never got those drinks or that update from the server. We (a 5 top) witnessed 2 other tables (a 3 top and 2 top) under the same server come in, sit down, order, receive, consume, and pay for their meals in the time we waited for ours. After another 10 minutes, a member of our table went to the bar to request we cash out for our round of drinks that we did receive so that we could leave. The bartender ran back to the kitchen and came out to tell us that our food was “ready now” and that the ticket had only been in the kitchen for 30 minutes.
This means that the server forgot to enter the ticket for 25 minutes? That is simply unacceptable when coupled with the complete lack of attention to the table. The massive delays caused us to miss an event that we usually would have had plenty of time for.

Pretty disappointed with our visit to The Crow’s Nest. The place was nearly empty, so we expected decent service, but my boyfriend had to go inside just to place our order and get our waters because no one came to our table only to drop the menus. I ordered a BLT and ended up getting an Irish club instead, with no explanation or offer to correct it. It felt like no one really cared, which was frustrating considering how slow it was. Definitely expected better.

Waited very long for our food and there was only 1 other person there. My granddaughters burger bun was burnt and hard as a rock. Waitress said she would get another one. It never came. Then my daughter ordered a crab cake salad and it came out as a sandwich instead. Waitress took it back and when she got it as the salad the crab cake was cold. My husband and I shared the 2 for barbecue. The ribs were good but everything else wasn’t. The brisket was tough and tasted horrible. The chicken was cold and very dry. Waitress never asked if we needed another drink so we had to ask her. Definitely would not recommend and won’t ever go back!
