It had a very welcoming atmosphere when we entered and you can tell a lot of thought when into setting it up and giving it a relaxed but upscale vibe.
We were seated promptly and the hostess said our waitress would go over the specials with us. Kaylee was our waitress & while she was nice, she didn’t go over the specials with us. She checked on us regularly though which was nice.
I ordered the Magnolia crepe which was carmalized banana filled crepe drizzled with salted carmel along with a lavender lemonade and my husband ordered a Amos Crepe which was scrambled egg filled crepe with tater tots and a cup of creamy cheddar potato soup along with sweet tea.
When our food was delivered, I realized we had no utensils or napkins and just as I was going to call our servers back, realized the forks, knives & napkins were inside large glass jars on the table. What was off-putting about it was you had to put your hand into the jar to get the utensils and that meant touching other forks & knives in the jar in the process. Made me wonder how many hands have touched the utensils…Napkins were not much better as you had to pull out the clump to get a few free. Not very sanitary in my opinion. Additionally, a good restaurant should invest in salt & pepper grinders vesus the outdated iodized salt & stale pepper shaker duos.
I so wanted to be wowed by the crepes but I just…wasn’t The presentation threw me a bit as I’ve never gotten a crepe dish where the crepes were wrapped burrito-style…made me think that crepe was going to be tough to have held up to that much manipulation and I wasn’t wrong. The crepe was very browned, it was dry, and something with the flavor was off. Maybe it was from being overcooked or the flour type but it didn’t hit the mark for me. It totally lacked the delicate texture of a great french crepe. Maybe they were premade. As for the filling, there were bananas but they were far from being carmelized and there wasn’t many of them. Not to mention salted carmel drizzle was non-existent. The whole thing was overshadowed by the dry crepe & excess amount of it folded in on the ends. The bit of chocolate drizzle did nothing to add flavor or moisture to the dish which was very dry. This dish could benefit from some cream filling. I ate it mainly because I was hungry & didn’t want to waste money. I can say the lavender lemonade was perfect.
In regards to what my hubby ordered, he was underwhelmed with the crepe dish as well. Only about a third of his burrito crepe had filling in it & it was a bit bland. The bacon jam on top was just too sweet & didn’t complement the egg filling. The tater tots were crispy as you would hope with any great tater tot but again, these are mass produced so no hard job to prepare these. The star of his meal was the soup! It really was amazing, creamy, tasty, and perfectly seasoned. His tea was good, too. We tasted each others food & pretty much agreed on what I mentioned above. I liked the bacon jam more than him (though it was a bit heavy on the balsamic vinegar in it)& thought it at least gave his dish some flavor.
I’d go back to try a different dish or more soup but not the crepes as they were a full miss for us.
We absolutely love The Crepe Factory! I had the chance to enjoy lunch here, sip on the most delicious hot tea (made with hot milk—my favorite!), and host a charcuterie class in their beautiful space. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better.
And the tochos are a must-try—so good!
If you’re in Inman, definitely check them out for a meal and their events. Such a wonderful local spot and a great community partner.

Their menu mainly consists of breakfast and lunch items, each one with a unique and flavorful twist to some degree. I was lucky enough to eat here recently during the Weekend at the same time during a local festival.
I ordered the Southern Sunrise Bowl and it was amazing! My waitress was Abby, and she was kind, courteous and attentive all without making me feel rushed or pampered.
The atmosphere is the perfect blend of cozy and elegant, the kind of place where you immediately relax the moment you walk in. The classic crooner music playing in the background adds such a warm, nostalgic charm that makes the whole experience feel special.
But what really sets this place apart is the people. Every time we come in, we’re welcomed like family. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it’s a big part of why we keep coming back.
Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, and a team that truly cares about their guests — it’s a little gem we’re so grateful to have. ☕️
