Our server was attentive and fun! She had great suggestions, which we devoured! Yum!
We loved the antique bar and “old time atmosphere “.
We’ll be back!

P.S.- this business is for sale!!

The Creek is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed exactly the kind of place you want to settle into and enjoy a great meal.

A special shoutout to Brian, whose recommendation of the mushroom Swiss bison burger was spot on. Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had. The bison was perfectly cooked juicy, flavorful, and not too heavy and the mushroom Swiss combination took it to another level. You can tell real thought goes into both the menu and the service here.

Great food, great service, and even better recommendations. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be ordering that burger again without hesitation!

Just okay. I was expecting a lot more from the reviews of this place, but I ordered the Reuben sandwich and the corned beef was so tough that I had to eat the sandwich with a knife and fork. Other than that, the staff and atmosphere were great.

Update a month later:Update: A MUST when in Cripple Creek.

The staff is so great, Bryan has excellent customer service. The kitchen staff outdid themselves again with the food.

The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and so full of flavor I didn’t use the A1. The Brussels were simple, not complicated with 10 extra ingredients to “add flavor” I appreciate that you guys lightly season them and allow the flavor
Of the Brussels sprouts to take center stage. The fries are, cut and made in house and delicious. They hit the spot for fries.

Again impressed and highly recommend.

Update a year later: and they are still delicious and worth the visit!

My date got the chicken quesadilla which was not only delicious but I love how they put chilis in the quesadilla!

I got the burrito and smothered it with the green chili. The green chili is fantastic! The burrito was loaded with rice, beans and hamburger, it’s huge and delicious. It pairs well with the green chili. Definitely worth a visit especially to just grab a bite outside of a casino. Service was friendly and prompt.

Highly recommend!

First review: I was very surprised, yet so very pleasantly impressed with the food here.

The menu hosts a variety of food options.

We settled on sharing between 3 of us the; Garlic Cheese Curds, The Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Burrito.

The Garlic Cheese Curds- were amazing, the marinara to dip them in seemed authentic, with chunks of tomato and a thick rich taste that only complimented the garlic cheese curds. My mom said as were finishing up our meal that she originally wasn’t sure about “garlic” cheese curds and that she “really enjoyed them after all”, and also mentioned how yummy the marinara sauce was.

The Spinach Artichoke dip – was creamy and delicious, it paired well with the soft naan bread, carrots and celery that accompanies it.

The Three Creek Burrito- we opted for the green chili on the side. The burrito was filled with rice, pinto beans, hamburger meat, onions and chilis and was massive. We cut it into thirds and it was a great finish to our meal here.

THE PORK GREEN CHILI worth noting this was seemingly authentic and so very good, would recommend on its own or to smother anything. Had a small kick.

Between the 2 appetizers and single entree we all left satisfied as it was plenty for us.

We were highly impressed with the food, thus the kitchen/ cook(s). The food was incredible.

Service was good, friendly, informative.

Well worth the drive from the Springs. Will definitely be back as I want to try soooo many other things on their menu!

(Side note, we originally went to eat at Baja Billy’s but they are closed on certain days. You will find this a superb alternative if you find yourself in the predicament that we did or just want to try a new place with fantastic food.)

(Pic side note, I wasn’t going to do a review until the deliciousness of the food inspired me to, so my apologies on the half eaten pics… we all ought to know by now, pics are not my strong suit…yet? )

That was the best Elk burger that I have ever tasted! Our waitress Kathy was great and very helpful. The restaurant is clean and the prices are reasonable. The carving around the bar area is amazing and the copper ceiling and stained glass really give a warm atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend!

Their tortilla chips were out of the world. It’s crunchy, but soft and light, not oily. I’m usually not an appetizer person but this was an exception. I ate all of it almost by myself. I’d came back here just for those chips. I regret not ordering double.

My girlfriend and i ate at the creek last night on 8-25-2024. The service was quick, we were seated almost immediately and the waiter was very friendly but very business oriented. We were served drinks quickly. The meals came out of the kitchen within a reasonable amount of time, and the quality made it worth the short wait. My girlfriend ordered the Mushroom burger, which she found to be excellent. I ordered the Elk Medallions, which were phenomenal. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time, and the Elk may have been the best Elk I’ve ever had. Thank you for your service down at The Creek!

I have no idea how I’ve been coming to Cripple Creek for over 30 years, and never ate here before. The food is SO yummy! Best baked potato ever, who would have thought a potato could be so good lol Hubby had the reuben and potato salad, also super good. Wonderful staff and beautiful building. And they play classic rock, added to the atmosphere. Will be our place of choice from now on!

Sorry….but tried it tonight . Not good. My girlfriend and myself are both in the service industry. Food was really bad. Ordered a elk burger and was never asked how we wanted it cooked? Came out close to well done. My chili was barley warm. My beer was nice and cold I probably would have had another one but the bartender never came back to ask. I should have known there was 3 people in the whole place including us 2!!!! Sorry I don’t like bashing people but this was bad

This is easily one of my new favorite places to eat in Cripple Creek! Super good Bison burgers and string fries, but lots of other choices that look good, too. This is a small, Veteran owned, operated, and staffed restaurant. 2 floors, 2 bars for overflow, and a good-sized private room are available. The decor exudes old Colorado. Might even be haunted. 🙂 I leave that to you.
