We are always driving by this place when we work down in Smith Point. My co-worker and I decided to give them a try. As always, the first thing we look at before making a decision is to look at the menu. The newest menu was over a year ago. At that time, prices seemed reasonable. The price difference was there and couldn’t believe some of the prices, but we were there so we were hoping the food quality would make up the difference.

We both ordered the fried catfish with fries. We were told we could get a cornmeal coating or beer battered. I got the corn meal battered and the fish turned out great. My co-worker go the beer battered, which it was not. It was a lighter coating of cornmeal. Both order of fries we on the soggy side and not crispy.

Overall, we will not be back on our own, mainly due the price. Wish there was a lunch menu, but unfortunately, there was not.

Some of the best cajun food I’ve had outside of Louisiana. The girls here are great. Felt welcome the second I walked in.

So far every visit has been excellent, a little bit of a wsit for the food but so good, it’s definitely worth it. Everything is hot and fresh!

I have lived in the area for decades and decided to stop in for a family meeting. The atmosphere, food and service was great. They were very helpful and took care of our needs immediately. Thank you all that played a role in making it an enjoyable time.

Excellent food. You will wait but it will be fresh. The servers all work as a team so anyone can assist you as needed or bring you food or refills. You never wait on anything from a server. Homemade food that is delicious. The sauces and house made Cajun seasoning here are amazing too. The carrot cake was phenomenal. We’ve been here many times.

Great stop on my regular trips to Kemah area from Orange. Great tuna steak and sauted veggies. Staff is awesome but busy.

Last time I was here, a great place. Today, horrible service and overcooked crawfish tails. Had an empty drink for over 20 minutes.

Good food! Appetizers were flavorful. All serving sizes were less than large but still adequate. Service was slow and hectic. We were there on a Sunday after the lunch rush. Definitely would eat here again and won’t hesitate to recommend if you are in the area.

If Texas Monthly did a top 50 beer joints in Texas this place would be in the top. Don’t get that way often but it is everything in a beer joint I would think is proper. More pulls than one could ever do. Killer food. Don’t go often but owners are there and obviously very involved. It shows. Check them out. Off the beaten path unless you live local but always good. Cold tap beer great crawfish. What’s not to like. The most original urinals I have ever seen.
