We arrived around 5:30 on a weeknight and there were only two tables … by the time we left it was pretty full. The boudin egg rolls were good – I’d get those again. The shrimp poboy was pretty excellent – the jalapeño mayo gives it a nice “something” and the shrimp was perfectly grilled. The trio plate – crawfish, shrimp, and a dungeones crab was a lot of food. We’ve eaten crawfish several times (we are by no means experts) but somehow these were a lot better than what we’ve had before.
Service was great and attentive. Prices were reasonable.
My constructive criticism is that we only got to eat one boudin egg roll before the main plates came out (give a little more time please) and that eight grilled shrimp on a full poboy seemed a little light … maybe up it by one or two.

Had the Crawdad basket(fried), with sweet potatoe fries. The plate came fill! Was fried perfectly! Really good flavor. Very satisfied! Our waitress, Mallory was serving 17 of us and did an EXCEPTIONAL JOB !!! Highly recommend!

We ended up stopping here by accident after an unexpected interstate detour on our way to Lafayette. It’s just a short drive south from the interstate. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The staff were very polite and attentive. We ordered the boudin eggrolls for an appetizer which was amazing!!! I had the Crawlicious Cajun Pasta. The portion was very generous. I thought it was good but definitely lacked in flavor. For a Cajun dish at a Cajun restaurant I really expected more flavor compared to the very light cream sauce I received. However, the dish had plenty of crawfish and sauce so I really don’t think my personal preference should take away from all of the positives this dish had to offer. My son had the fried shrimp which was excellent! I can attest that it was fresh shrimp that was deveined and battered in-house- not the pre-battered frozen shrimp that comes from wholesale food delivery trucks.
My daughter got the shrimp poboy which she said was also excellent. My husband got the boiled shrimp. He said they were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. They also have a large selection of wine, beer, frozen drinks and cocktails. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely stop in for a good meal.

We have thoroughly enjoyed steak night almost every Thursday since discovering Crawfish Hut. The steak is always cooked to perfection and delivered to us fast with a friendly smile! Music is always good, and the crawfish are just right.

Went to The Crawfish Hut for the first time last night. We did not go for crawfish ironically, but for their Thurday night steak night special. We were also meeting dear friends of ours who has complimented on the food to us several times. Staff were very friendly and took care of our request promptly with a smile. It is very difficult to find a place that serves a properly prepaired steak in our area as everything is focused on cajun cuisine. So when the owners parent told us about steak night we decided to give it a try. My wife is very perticuler when it comes to steak, and it is not easy finding a steak that is not seasoned or tough from improper cooking. A good steak should not need seasoning, it should stand on its proper merits and preperation. Well don’t let the restraunts name fool you, this place served an awesome diner. In fact we shared one meal, and it filled both of us and she still had a bit left to bring home. Large portions, cooked to perfection and give the blueberry bread pudding a try as well. You can thank me later. Lastly, watching the majority of the house who was there for crawfish, the smiles and compliments we were hearing said it all. You need to add this place to your Go To List.
I only put 4 stars for atmosphear because they had someone playing music live. She was a bit loud for our taste and the area size of the room. Sadly we had to talk over her volumn at times. If they would bring the volumn down about 25% it would be perfect. Good Food, Music and Meeting friends in a homely welcoming environment. Perfect Combo. A++, Mr. Meche

Met up with one of my lads while visiting Louisiana and we decided to get crawfish here. Definitely a great decision. Crawfish were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their desserts as well. Our waitress, Morgan, was awesome. Overall, highly recommend dining here.
