Decent food and service, but the flavors could be amped up more. My food was delicious and crispy, I was able to eat everything and the house sauce went perfect with my shrimp. The chicken my friend had wasn’t as good as the fish.

How do you mess up two orders and don’t want to fix your mistake? The manger was very rude to be working in customer service. I usually eat inside and service is always amazing. Today I got a to go order. The girl at the counter with the red hoodie and red hair had a nasty attitude. She was very rude and her cell phone was more important than customers. I am very disappointed.

Food was great, service was great. Definitely a casual seafood dining place. Do not go if you are expecting upscale dining. It’s very casual & comfortable. We went for my son’s birthday & the only disappointment was that they didn’t sing or embarrass him – much to his relief! We will be back!

Ya’ll!!! We landed here after our other choices were closed because of a bad storm. We’re so glad we found this little, hidden treasure! The food…amazing. Staff….warm and friendly. Price….decent for the amount of food they give you! Best fried okra…EVER! We will definitely make the 45 minute drive often.

Terrible service by a male waiter on Sept 14, 2025. Rude, condescending and threatening. The worst waiter in my 73 years of life. It started when I asked if could substitute the potatoes/sausage/corn for another side order. There was a little bit of back & forth over that, he didn’t explain anything properly, blamed the menu in stead of saying that the veggies in the boil bag were a token amount, not the same as a full side order,, the conversation escalated and the waiter had the nerve to ask: “Do you think that it’s a good idea to talk to me like this knowing that I am preparing your food??” I was horrified and said I wasn’t ordering. He retorted, “That’s fine.” I said, “We won’t be back.”‘ The waiter snipped, “That’s ok.” Just despicable. On top of that the person who checked my husband out, because he and our daughter ordered, charged us double. A $40 something bill turned into $80 something!!! He noticed it & got a refund. No wonder, on a Sunday, where people should be lined up out the door to eat, there was only 3 or 4 tables with people in them. A BIG RED FLAG.

Delicious Crab!
We visited The Crab Barrack at a non-peak time, and were greeted with smiles and seated quickly. Our order included a couple of fried shrimp baskets and the Barrack Combo with shrimp and snow crab legs. Also added slaw, hush puppies, and cheesesticks. While I found the sides and appetizer to be average at best, the fried shrimp was cooked perfectly in a tasty batter. But where they really hit was the Combo, the snow crab and shrimp was served with red potatoes, sausage, and (crazy good) corn; all were seasoned and cooked to perfection.
