We were in town for a volleyball tournament and this place came highly recommended. The food was seasoned well and delicious. The drink the new fashioned was top notch. The server was forgetful but kind. We had to wait about 30-45 minutes for a table on a Friday night.

Chelsea Fountain

Probably the best burger bar in the area. Love that they combine American and Asian elements in their menu and try to offer the best of both. Extensive sushi menu and lots of ways to customize your meal. Everything was yummy! They definitely have a lot of birthday celebrations there (not a quiet place if you’re going on the weekend). Parking at this location is tricky because it’s situated in North Hills.

Service and atmosphere in this place is lacking for the location and menu pricing. Feels dated and worn and the bathrooms smelled bad out into the restaurant a little way. Service was a bit slow for an early evening, especially from the bar. The sushi was fantastic though, shining spot in the restaurant. The black truffle burger had not an ounce of truffle taste to it and was a little overcooked. I’d come back for the sushi but that’s all I think was great about it. Waitress was nice, it was just a bit slow.

We were excited to try Cowfish because one of the people in our group had tried the Charlotte location. While I was skeptical about combining burgers and Asian flavors like sushi, it was something unique in the area. A plus point was the staff and the accommodations for our party of 12– they were really welcoming, attentive and sang happy birthday for our special occasion! Food-wise, I got the bento box with shrimp tempura rolls, the burger of the day, and the defaults (edamame, sweet potato fries and cucumber salad). The veggies and fries were great and had a nice flavor to them, but the sushi wasn’t on par with other places, and could’ve felt fresher and more flavorful. The burger was cooked well-done and juicy, which was a plus point as well. Cowfish is a good introduction to Asian food but for foodies looking for authentic tastes, it might not be the best spot. The service is much appreciated!

I visited Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar – Raleigh and had a really solid experience overall!
Bartenders/Staff: 10/10 – Super friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
Crispy Rice: 8/10 – Very delicious, just wish it was a little crispier.
Poke Dip: 10/10 – Absolutely amazing. Easily my favorite item.
Bento Box Burger: 6/10 – Pretty mid. Not bad, but didn’t really stand out.
Firecracker Sushi Roll: 7/10 – Good flavor, enjoyable, but not my top pick.
Overall, great vibes, amazing service, and some standout menu items. I’d definitely come back—especially for the poke dip and drinks!

We celebrated a birthday here, 7 people. Our server Edgar was great! Our orders were correct and his suggestions were on point. All our orders came out at the same time and our glasses were always full. Overall great experience.

My buddy took me here on a trip to Raleigh. I had some tuna and avocado appetizers. Then I had a seared filet role with Miso mayo and all the sushi flavors.

I loved the ambiance here as well. One of the paintings featured and Elvis-themed sumo wrestler. Sure! Why not?

My wife and I loved this place! First of all the staff was great, very professional, very courteous and the manager was very friendly even to the point of having a full conversation. As far as the food it was excellent, so go check it out and you can enjoy the large full size aquarium by the bar. You won’t regret your decision to go here!
