The Cow An Eatery has been a Morrison favorite since the Lind family took over the historic 1940s diner in 2014, keeping its charm while elevating the focus on fresh, homemade food. Surrounded by the beauty of Red Rocks and the local community, the restaurant uses a team-service approach to create a friendly, welcoming experience for every guest. With a second location now open in Evergreen, even more diners can enjoy the same great food and atmosphere.

Such a cute eatery, food was delicious and our server Sydney was incredible! She made the BEST coffee and gave us amazing recommendations for the area. We will definitely be coming back.

Ice cream made the perfect sweet ending after a delicious Reuben. My sandwich was tasty and filling, but my partner’s bison burger was unfortunately over-charred and tough. The place itself is small and fills up quickly, with plenty of staff hustling to keep customers taken care of. In my opinion, the 45-minute wait was worth it—but he wasn’t quite as convinced.

I stopped in for a quick breakfast and got seated right away. The environment was very friendly and clean and I like small restaurant establishments like this. It sits right on the banks of Bear Creek in downtown Morrison and the environment was absolutely pleasant. I was greeted right away and the wait staff was very friendly. After my order, the service kind of ended, but it wasn’t bad at all. The food was kind of average, but fairly tasty. I had the cowboy casserole which was eggs over easy and biscuits and gravy. It normally comes with hashbrowns, but I chose not to get those. They stayed really busy and I really commend them for keeping the place as clean as they did. That’s one of the really important things to me when I go out to a restaurant. So I appreciate that. Overall, fairly good! I would definitely come back here again.

Great little diner. Food came out fast and yummy. Portions were Huge and prices were way cheaper than Denver area. We ordered a jumbo pancake which was bigger than the plate,a few bowls of fruit, oatmeal that they were able to make with hot water instead ofilk since I’m vegan and the avocado toast with cilantro, chili peppers and olive oil which was vegan also. Very accommodating.

Good service as well as good views and great food.
My family stopped in on a road trip. My parents got the seafood Mac and cheese and the streak Mac and cheese. Of coarse I had to sneak a bite. Delicious and creamy. My brother ordered the Trinidad cheese steak with fries and I got the green chili burrito. Both great. Of the spread, I think my favorite was the Trinidad cheese steak. All great options though

Friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our experience even better. Best restaurant in Morrison! We’ll definitely be back!

We stopped by The Cow for lunch with the family yesterday. It was pretty busy, but we were seated right away, which was a nice surprise. The space is small but has a cozy, homey feel—definitely has charm. Service was great throughout the meal. We started with the fried PB&J and sweet potato waffle fries. The flavor on both was good, but the PB&J was a bit dry—not quite enough peanut butter or jelly. Fries were a little soggy but still tasty. I had the berry yummy salad with a side of vegetarian green chile. The chile had a real kick to it, but the flavor was on point. Salad was fresh and hit the spot. My husband ordered the regular chile, but it was too spicy for him to finish, so just a heads-up if you’re sensitive to heat! Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would come back. Great service and a welcoming vibe—just a few small misses on the food that kept it from being five stars.

Buffalo wrap had almost no chicken or buffalo sauce. Chicken also seemed like pre-breaded and frozen. No flavor. Brussel sprouts salad was pretty good though. Although the quality of pear on top was pretty beat up

After a long hike on Falcon Mountain, we popped in for a bite to eat. The quoted wait was 30 minutes, but we were seated much sooner, always a pleasant surprise! We sat out back since we had our dog with us, yes, they’re dog-friendly, which we appreciate.

The service is shared among staff, so it’s a bit hit or miss. Our server wasn’t familiar with the beer list and didn’t seem to understand what qualifies as a craft beer. (Sorry, while Coors may be local, it’s not craft.) Water refills were hard to come by, which wasn’t ideal after a hot hike, and our second beer was forgotten until we asked again.

We ordered the fish and chips, patty melt, and Dave’s sandwich. The fries were huge, and none of us could finish them. The fish and chips were excellent, crispy, and flavorful. The patty melt was underwhelming and overcooked (I requested medium). It needed more cheese and grilled onions, and the rye bread’s caraway flavor was overpowering. I was hoping for more based on the other Google reviews. Dave’s sandwich was a generously sized chicken sandwich.

All in all, it is a convenient post-hike spot with a relaxed vibe, but don’t expect anything beyond a typical roadside greasy spoon with spotty service.

Food was delicious, I’ll sure come back to try some more dishes
The only thing is that wanting to order more my server brought me the check and after ordering dessert I received the check again when the dessert hadn’t arrived yet.
Not sure if that’s something bad but I felt rushed.
Besides that, place is amazing, vibes are just so Coloradan, nice place to come after a good hike or to bring some tourists friends 🙂
Peaches were not that really juicy and fresh, just saying because it’s like their special.
