This place has a 10 for atmosphere. The service was slow but we weren’t in a hurry. The Manhattan Clam Chowder didn’t have any clams and the Crab Cake Sandwich didn’t have any crabs. Other than that, the food was pretty good. Spouse said the Chicken Pennini sandwich was good. Won’t go back.

Average eatery in a nice location. Menu is fairly expensive for the food served(although everything is expensive now) I didn’t realize my grilled cheese was just that; a sandwich accompanied by a couple pickle chips on the side. Maybe I’m use to other restaurants at least offering a bag of chips on the side so I just assumed it would come with something. I ended up ordering a basket of fries for the whole table since everyone else’s meal was just a sandwich as well.

On Sunday august 17 my wife and I had breakfast at The Cove in Cape May.
Free parking while we were there was a nice treat. We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. We sat on the inside porch which was cooled by ceiling fans and open windows. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere! As soon as we were seated our drink order was taken. My wife drinks black coffee and she said it was hot and excellent.
I got fried eggs, bacon, potatoes and rye toast. Everything was hot and perfectly cooked. The bacon was crisp and tasty. The potatoes were tender, crisp and delicious. My wife had the special. Lemon, ricotta pancakes which she chose strawberries as the topping. She raved about the pancakes being fresh, light and delicious.
The restaurant was immaculate. Our waiter was friendly and prompt. Looking out over dunes and seeing the ocean was an especially nice experience as we enjoyed our breakfast. 10 out of 10!!

This is a nice find. This place is a hidden gem right next to the Cove Beach and has view of the dunes and the beach. The food was both good and reasonably priced. I had an omelet with fresh basil, tomato and feta cheese which was perfect. My son had the crab cake sandwich and liked it. I will be coming back. My grandson had the blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries; I took a bite and it was delicious.

Stay away from this place! The owner is mentally unstable and screamed at my dad! Someone also found a paper clip in their food, which shocked me. There are also 10 security cameras outside the restaurant! Who needs that many cameras for one place!?

The place is cute, the staff is friendly, but the owner has brought the term rudeness to a completely new level. I would drive for miles and miles and avoid paying the parking fee. As far as food is concerned, all I suggest is that you take the time to reed the other reviews… We were spared that experience by the sheer luck of arriving when the restaurant part was closed.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is situated at one of the greatest parts of America. If the owners weren’t so rude, condescending and incompetent this could be one of the greatest dining establishments in the world. The owners focus on the traffic outside instead of their culinary experience. It’s dirty, the food is bad, and they do not deserve your hard earned currency. It’s like a great athlete who does not live up to their potential.
