Usually better than this last time. Main dishes were good but the garnish was definitely forgotten about. My side of Texas toast was burnt. The bread sticks for alfredo were hard sticks with zero flavor. Pasta and chicken were both amazing seasoned very well not too spicy. We ordered the Cajun alfredo and sauce was thick and creamy. My fish was good. Seasoned well but a little over cooked for my taste. Both of the waitresses took great care of us and made us feel welcomed.

The waitresses were amazing, always had water or cocktails filled.
When we had questions about the preparation of the food, they got the answers. The food, well everything we have tried was amazing.

I’ve eaten at The Cove many times with no complaints, but this past Saturday night was a terrible experience. When we arrived, the place was busy but not overwhelming. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order, then another 10–15 minutes before we could place our food order. By that point, several tables had left and the restaurant was noticeably less busy.
We sat there long enough for me to finish two beers — about an hour total — and still hadn’t even received my side salad. When I finally saw our server and asked how much longer it would be, she said she had put our order in right away but would check with the kitchen. She returned and told us the printer had run out of paper, so the kitchen never received our order.
What was most disappointing was that no effort was made to fix the situation. She didn’t offer to bring out the salads quickly, comp anything, or even offer an appetizer while we waited. Meanwhile, a table of twelve that had been seated well after us was already being served their food.
After waiting another 20 minutes with no salads and no sign of our server, we decided to leave. This was really frustrating, especially since I’ve had good experiences here before. I hope they improve their communication and service so this doesn’t happen to other customers.

In town on a Friday night, the restaurant was packed. I had my take out order that I made at the bar in 30 minutes. The steak was delicious and so tender I was able to cut it with a flimsy disposable plastic knife. I will definitely return. The employees were nice and there seemed to be a lot of locals who were having a good time. I will return the next time I am in town.

The Cove Restaurant has a laid back atmosphere, with smiling and friendly staff working there.

We were immediately seated and had menus and drinks within a few minutes.

Bathrooms were well maintained and had a pleasant fragrance to eliminate any lingering smells or odors. Good job on that.

The eating spaces were inside near a bar area, in an adjacent area where a lot of the patrons had their meals, plus a couple of outdoor areas for those who didn’t need a HDTV or any other distractions.

I must apologize in advance for the pictures because once the salads and main courses came I had already had a few bites, hahahaha. But man ol man! Was the food a solid home run!!

The ribeye was cooked to my taste and the smoke and seasonings were outstanding! I had a bite of my wife’s fried shrimp and broiled scallops and all I could do was say, “Mmmm mmmm mmmm”!

If you’re in the neighborhood of Boonville, MO, you need to make every effort to stop and taste the goodness they bring to your table.

Great job everyone!

Oh, by the way, I was given a military discount on the meal. Any place that does that for our Veterans has my fullest support.

Had our anniversary dinner here. The food (hamburger with bleu cheese and Tuscan pasta with shrimp) was tasty, hot, and cooked perfectly. Staff were great; friendly and checked back with us several times. Visit them; you won’t be disappointed.

We live in Kansas and come to a conference in Missouri every year. This year we were going to be a little late and I spoke to Joe the owner. He was very friendly and let me know when we needed to call to place the order. We really appreciate the friendly service we get as we are traveling to our Jewel Warrior conference at Camp Mihaska.

Driving cross country we saw steak on the menu so we decided to stop in. Apparently it is a sport bar but very relaxed. After reviewing the menu we decided on various appetizers. Everything was fresh and delicious. Only thing better than the food was the service. Gotta come back to try the steak!
