A very small restaurant with a big heart. Orders are placed at the counter and delivered to the table. We were impressed with the Connecticut-style lobster rolls with claw meat. My dad said his smash burger was only okay. The hush puppies were flavourful and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fries were unusually cut but really good. This is going to be a regular restaurant to visit.

Easiest online ordering I’ve ever used! I was at Morganton Point, wanted to check out The Cove’s Menu. The Online menu seemed easy enough and enticed me to order. (Because it was so easy) way way way easier than Pizza Hut or Domino’s. 10 minutes later I had my food. Super easy. I got the Trout Dip and the Hush Puppies and they were both awesome. Came a second time, got the Smash Burger! And the fried Pickled and Pepps! Wow!

We always enjoy going to The Cove. It’s tucked away in this corner right before the Morganton Recreation area. The food is prepared quickly and is seasoned perfectly, and all the staff is very attentive. It’s only a couple miles down the road from our tiny home and we enjoy visiting every time.

My boyfriend and I came in and we were excited and not sure what to expect but we placed our order and got our drinks and had a seat. I ordered the smash burger and a garden side sal, my boyfriend ordered the grouper platter, it came with a small cup of coleslaw 2 hush puppies and two small groupers, when the food came out it was pretty in my opinion. I enjoyed the burger it was awesome but my boyfriends only issue was the price for both of us was 42$ but overall it was pretty good

Our first time trying The Cove – the food was very good and the staff was very friendly. I had a shrimp Po’boy and my husband had the lobster roll & clam chowder. Everything was served hot and delicious!

We were visiting the Blue Ridge area, and decided not to go into town that night, as the crowds were closing in due to a festival. We opted to try something a bit further out, thus we found The Cove Fish Camp.
The Cove is a brand new restaurant in the area. It has been there about two months as of October 2022.
If you’re an old feller like me, who grew up going to many “Fish Camps” with your parents, you won’t be disappointed! While the building itself won’t remind you of the old fish camp, the food sure will. Brought back many fond memories.
The wife ordered Fried Rainbow Trout. I ordered Fried Grouper. (You can get any of their fish fried, grilled, or blackened.) Both dishes came with fries and cole slaw. The fish was fried perfectly, the fries were hot and crispy, and the hushpuppies were crispy and delicious. The cole slaw was some of the better I’ve had. The entire staff was friendly, and I commend the owner.
If you’re ever out that way, why not stop in? (You can then make a quick drive to Morganton Point to watch a beautiful sunset!)

What a great find!!! We’re on vacation from PA and was looking for a place to eat nearby our cabin and thought we’d give The Cove Fish Camp a try and was not DISAPPOINTED that we did!! My son and myself had the catfish with fries and hush puppies, my daughter had the lobster bisque and my wife had the lobster tacos. EVERYTHING was amazing even something as the fresh sweet tea ( of course down here in the south it probably wasn’t sweet enough but for us northerners it was spot on )! Thank you guys so much for having a great meal while away on vacation!

Fresh produce. Tasty shrimp. Burger tasted home-made on a fresh bun with a bit of spice. Pimento cheese and shells was a surprise and yummy. Very clean bathrooms.

Had the Mahi fish tacos, surprisingly good! The Smashburger was good! Street corn needed salt. Fries were unique and good. Trout dip-very good! Nice little fish camp with unique eats.
