Phở — 5/5
Probably the best phở in Auckland. Smooth and silky flat rice noodles served in a clear, lightly spiced beef broth with tender beef slices, fresh bean sprouts, and green onions. Honestly, I can’t find a single flaw.

Other dishes are still on my list to explore…

This is hands-down the best pho in Auckland, maybe even New Zealand!

Absolutely blown away by The Courtyard Vietnamese Café in Newmarket! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The service is absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive, and full of heart.

Now let’s talk about the food — wow. Pho, deep, rich, soul-soothing broth, perfectly balanced with fresh herbs and tender beef — it’s everything pho should be. Every spoonful takes you straight to the streets of Saigon.

And don’t skip the coffee — it’s so good. That strong, authentic Vietnamese drip coffee with condensed milk hits deep — bold, intense, and just the right amount of sweet.

A hidden gem with real Vietnamese soul. If you haven’t been, go. If you’ve been, you’re probably already planning your next visit.

Sensational Chefs Special Beef Pho with all the various trimmings including beef balls, tripe, rare beef and brisket. A perfect balance of noodles within an amazing soup that has stacks of flavour.

Best traditional Vietnamese spring rolls dipped in sauce and wrapped in lettuce leaves with pickled carrots.

I ate the whole thing!

Definitely worth another visit to trial the Banh Mi and Bun Cha!!

Amazing Vietnamese experience, best we’ve had in Auckland. Very flavourful, generous portions – we thoroughly enjoyed all our food.
Bonus points for plenty of free parking (they give you a voucher!). The staff were also lovely and friendly. Definitely try the Chief’s Special Pho!

We use to have an amazing Pho spot in Whangarei but it closed 6 months ago and while we have tried multiple spots all around Northland, we couldn’t find Pho we really enjoyed.. until The Courtyard. Delicious, authentic and well priced. If you like Pho give this place a go! We will definitely be back.

Hands down… Best Vietnamese Beef Pho and Spring Rolls in Auckland.

I travel around to try Pho including South & East Auckland which used to be my favourite before coming here. The man at the front is super friendly and speaks multiple languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Vietnamese.

Flavour is 10/10
Value is 9/10
Portions is 10/10 — generous with bean sprouts and beef!

Free parking on premises for two hours.

The hidden gem in Auckland
It was the best Pho we’ve ever tried in New Zealand. Fresh noodle, fresh beef, and the broth.. everything was amazing. The taste was luxury with all the good ingredients.

We also had chicken with tomato rice and it was very addictively tasty with such a simple ingredients.

The parking was free for 2h in front of the restaurant. When you order- pay, the owner will pass the free parking ticket(Wilson) to you.

The owner and staffs were friendly and passionate as well. We enjoyed the positive vibe. The kitchen was half opened, and was spotless.

I will definitely come back sooner! Probably regularly!

Ordered lemongrass pork chop rice $21.5 and shaking beef with fried rice $22. Both are tasty, however the portion size aren’t even enough for two gals.
The staff doesn’t seem so happy, or maybe I got it wrong.
