Had a great dinner last night. We started out with oysters and bubbly. The Cava was spectacular as was the Okanagan sparkling. Love their hot sauce, and we’re kicking ourselves for forgetting to buy a bottle – they sell it. The beet salad was delicious. It had tons of beets! For dinner hubby had the duck and I had the Wagyu Bavette. Both delicious, and the duck fat potatoes were sinful! Wine list is huge so it’s a great spot for vino lovers. Service by Drew and the sommelier, Jack, was wonderful. They made for a great experience. The ambience and vibe was very relaxed and elegant. I highly recommend.

I had dinner last night at the Courtney room. First impressions, they have a beautiful dinning room and bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a really nice wine list with wines from all around the globed. I was solo so I was limited on the number of dishes I could try. I ordered the Hokkaido Scallops, Foie Gras, and the Mushroom Risotto. All of the dish’s were good but lacked refinement. I would dine here again.

Staying at the hotel made it so easy to just head downstairs for breakfast. The tuna tartare was absolutely delicious, and sharing the Belgian waffle was the perfect sweet treat to round out the meal. The standout, however, was the latte—it was spectacular, with a unique, naturally sweet flavor.

The atmosphere was perfect but the food and service were way below expectation given the price range. The cod was too salty and didn’t taste very fresh. The scallops were fresh but the seasoning was also too salty. Not impressed. The only memorable dish was the duck breast which was cooked well – but the sides were too sour and not matching well with the overall duck. We ordered an extra burrata as adds on – which never came so we had to ask to cancel in the end. We did appreciate, however, that the waiter felt sorry so gave us a discount in the end.

The atmosphere was classy and relaxed. The service was excellent and friendly.

It was convenient for me as it is attached to the hotel where I was staying at.

Ordered fresh shucked oysters and seared Hokkaido scallops. Both were amazing and fresh, the plating was exquisite. I paired that with a glass of white wine, unfortunately not a lot of wine to choose from, most of them are BC wine, which makes sense given where I was. But the wine was a blah (okay – not great). BTW – their hot sauce was excellent!! It goes well with all dishes. I wish I could buy a bottle of it.

This was a pricey dinner, but I paid for the quality of food, ambience, location, and service. I can justify it for a one-time visit experience or for special occasions.

The food: this restaurant has a great selection of vegetarian and meat options as well as some delicious well seasoned seafood. We had the cabbage courgette plate, which is served over a dense bean base cooked in a way I haven’t tried before.

Drinks: as for cocktails, this bar has some unique choices. I’ve had better cocktails, and other more bar focussed locations, but these ones were still good.
The ambiance: this restaurant is surprising good for a hotel restaurant, the upstairs seating area is cosy and quaint, and the bar is well stocked with friendly bartenders and great cocktails

Love the Courtney Room! We had Milton as our server and Jack was our sommelier. We ordered scallops, oysters, risotto, salmon and Wagyu. Meal was delicious! Jack recommended a fantastic wine to complement both the salmon and beef.

Less than exceptional experience at The Courteney Room. The food was decent but their private room feels like an old office boardroom. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are having a private engagement. The restaurant itself looked great as we passed through though.

What an absolute treat, Mackenzie the bartender treated us so well and really took the time to get to know us. She was absolutely amazing and we felt like family by the time we left. Our servers Tayla and Jack were very attentive and real. They were both great and made our time exceptional. There was another server, an Indian man that brought a lot of our beverages, we didn’t get his name but he was very down to earth and excellent as well. Dinner was amazing from start to finish. We were treated like absolute royalty and felt very special. Thanks so much for the experience and we will be back.

The prices are quite high but you absolutely get what you pay for and you will be pleased if you take the time to enjoy your experience.
