GREAT place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Staff was friendly, cheerful and service was top notch. I got the chicken livers and I must say, that they were perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten. The sides were equally spectacular with the mashed potatoes and boiled cabbage that I ordered ranking a 5 out of 5. They have decorated for Christmas and the whole place was so festive and bright. Music playing just set the tone for an amazing dining experience. What’s not to LOVE? Do yourself a favor and co.e try them out. You’ll leave FULL and SATISFIED.

The food was very fresh and represented country food well. My fish was crispy and fresh out of the fryer. The side items presented on the menu are decent. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food for each dish. The dining area is very spacious and inviting. Employees are very kind and considerate to guests. I would also recommend this place for a family dinner spot or get-together with friends.

My experience during breakfast:
Coffee was weak!
Western omelet tasted good but had little filling and I couldn’t find the ham.
Fried taters were cold.
Very little gravy was served with the old/cold biscuit but flavor was okay.
Grits were grits $
Small place with not enough servers, they were friendly but slow.

This is what America is all about, small town with an outstanding local eatery. If you’re looking for some homemade food, look no farther.
The country fried steak is as good as mamas. It’ll make you want to go to the top of the smokies and shout. Even Bigfoot will know how good the food is here. Whenever I’m in Crossville this will be my new flavor-town pit stop.

Great little Gem located on 330 N. Main St. in Crossville. Friendly staff and great service. Fresh cooked food, very tasty and delicious . We’ll definitely come back to this restaurant.

We were there for breakfast for the first time. It was absolutely amazing!
My eggs, bacon and sausage were cooked perfectly. I absolutely loved their hasbrowns as well! Hasbrowns had great crisp and texture. I ate her biscuit which was perfectly sweet, moist and fluffy.
My GF got the western omlete with biscuit and gravy. She said that it was the best gravy she’d ever had. Just the right amount of spice, not too spicy at all. She said there wasn’t an over powering taste of flour or milk. It was balanced just right!
We will return many, many times. So please visit this place and make sure it stays in business.

Most of the reviews aren’t even close to accurate. This place is overpriced poorly prepared food. Every other breakfast restaurant in the area is better and that’s not saying much. $4.95 for one biscuit split and topped with gravy is an insult. The Bubba’s Special was $10.95 and about half the portions you’d get anywhere else in town for a few dollars less. The potatoes were terrible and the biscuit halves were hard. This place is no better than when it was the BBQ joint. Head to Kali’s or AJ’s for a better experience.

Friends of mine have been raving about The Country Kitchen on Main for a few months now. Today I joined them in their weekly pilgrimage for chicken livers. (Sounds disgusting to me, but they love them!) I was told they have a lot more on the menu. So I went for lunch. The place is cozy and nice looking inside! It looks a-lot smaller outside then inside.
The employees were very friendly! We were greeted and seated. Not all our group was there yet. While we waited we were asked and served drinks. Once everyone else came we all ordered. You can guess what they got! I decided to try the prime rib (rare) with fried okra and onion rings.
I’m not sure the timing but it was out quickly. Not fast food quick. First thing I noticed was my “rare” prime rib was “well”. I didn’t say anything… I’ve learned most places actually don’t know the difference between rare and well. The okra and onion rings were good. Prime rib was edible, thankfully due to the small amount of au jus and horseradish sauce. It did come with a biscuit or cornbread. I got the biscuit. Moms are better.
The others in the group enjoyed their meals.
I’ll likely come back and try something else. Hopefully it will be a bit better.
