The coffee is good and we liked the omelettes well enough. But the biscuits were tough and the gravy was just okay. It’s a decent breakfast if you live near here, but I wouldn’t drive across town for it.

My Young Beautiful Bride and I visited Lafayette today for an estate sale.
After the sale, we decided to try this little restaurant, The Country Calf.

We were amazed by how quickly they attended our needs ❤️
Their selection was absolutely fantastic.
Our meals were served rather quickly despite the number of customers they had.

We will definitely be visiting this place again the next time we we come over to Lafayette.

Place is cute. Our server was great, she was very attentive. Everything came out correctly. The food…the kids said their pancakes were really good. Everyone’s bacon and eggs were…sad. The bacon looks like that microwave stuff. And the eggs, I’m not sure what they did, or where they get them, but we were all pretty disappointed. One kid got scrambled and he said they tasted gross. Everyone else got over easy and the yolks were like water and very pale.

Service is great. Prices are great. Food is alright. Bacon is average. Pancakes were solid. Biscuits for the biscuits and gravy has a strange taste.

This location is consistent with the other two locations in the area – they have consistently good food at a very reasonable price.

The Country Omelette is a favorite of mine – sausage gravy on top of anything is great. They also have options for the kids that are really cheap.

Excellent B&G! even at 11am! Portion sizes big enough to make me comfortable, and I can eat a medium pizza by myself. I’ll definitely be back!!

You guys do a fantastic job! There is a reason every table is full when we come, but it does not take long to get one and worth the wait! Thank you so much for cleaning each table between customers. So many places barely even wipe it off if at all. The staff is friendly and the food comes quickly and tastes great! My only wish is that you were open for dinner, but everyone needs some time off too! Keep doing good and we will continue to visit (like so many others)! Highly recommended for good food at a good price!

This is my favorite breakfast spot. The food is always out very fast with good quality. Staff is great, friendly and fast. It has a nice interior design as well. I’ve never waited long there and the prices are great. Kids always love their stuffed French toast, I’d give that or the country skillet a try.
If you want good food, quickly and for a great price this is the spot.

So, my uncle has sang the praises of The Country Cafe for a looong time. We decided to try the location on Teal Road this morning.
NEVER AGAIN!
Our server was very, very nice but she is all that this location has going for it and why they received 2 Stars instead of zero.
When we arrived there was a handful of people in the restaurant, so, not busy at al.
We sat in a booth near the front and every time someone opened that door, cold air would blow in and I would freeze. Our fault? Yes. But they could have either blocked that seat off so it didn’t happen to anyone or they could have warned us there wasn’t anything there to prevent the air from hitting us.
Then there was our food.
Frank ordered the Country Slam and I ordered the grilled ham and cheese with french fries.
The food was ready super Fast!
But, they bring out to him the wrong order and mine, my ham had not been cooked and my cheese had not melted.
The lady, not our server, comes to our table and snatches Franks plate out from him without saying a word and walks off.
Another lady then comes back with the correct plate a few minutes later.
With the attitude of the lady, that grabbed his plate, being as it was, I was not about to ask her to have them cook my ham and melt my cheese. So, I just didn’t eat it.the fries were good, but then it’s hard to mess up French fries.
The place didn’t appear to be dirty or filthy and the bathroom was ok. Not spectacular but ok!
All in all? I’ll never grace the doorway of this place again. I would suggest you don’t either. I’m not trying to ruin anyone’s livelihood or anything but don’t waste your money at this location. You’ll be hangry and mad at yourself afterwards.
