Clean and accessible space with a good amount of seating. Parking is also not as problematic as the nearby mall.
Service is polite and professional. Plating is slow, perhaps a consequence of the level of customization on offer.
Food is good, but not great. The counter burger is a tall stack of meat and fries, hard to eat with your hand but certainly filling. Their burger bowls are similarly decent but for some reason more expensive than the burgers.
Not good for a quick lunch but it’s decent enough if you have an hour plus to spend.

Just another glorified Burger Joint, $10 for an small Caesar Salad seemed a bit pricey. However they use excellent ingredients and the service was exceptional, I hoped I could remember the waitress name. I was there with my daughters feb 14th after going to the Mall about 6 pm.

Visit #1 – The burgers and the wait staff were amazing….we need to try the impossible burger next time!
Update, 5/16, visit #2 – I came back with a friend when I was back in town and the wait staff was terribly rude. Our food took quite a while to come out, they forgot our appetizer, and the waitress was one of the worst I have had in years. She was passive agressive, dropped our menus on our table and walked off, and seemed irritated the entire time. The cheese was only warm and seemed like it came out of a package from the local grocery store. The ” meat” on the impossible burger was pretty good, but that was about it. If you have an alternative, I would choose a local venue if you can rather than coming here.

They have a great selection of burgers on the menu or you can create your own. Love the Milk shakes, they also have alcoholic beverages for adults. Family friendly.

First I’ve tried The Counter is in Saudi Arabia, and it was good. Once I found them here in the Bay Area becomes one of my favorite spots to go too. Their verities in with drinks, burgers, fries gives them a step up any other burger restaurant.

I created my own bunless turkey burger. It was simple. The dressing was basil pesto. It was delicious! Turkey was juicy & all the veggies were fresh. We were a party of 20. We were seated within 25-30 min. Just as promised and customer service was fantastic!!

Holy Moly! This place is great! I moved to the peninsula a few months back and this place is a gem! The menu is a cornucopia of tasty options that will satisfy even the most vegan of former hamburger lovers! I still eat meat and will continue to frequent this place for the angus beef , the chicken sandwich and the decadent melted Parmesan fries. It may be a gut buster but the friendly local staff with delightful service from Zack and a well orchestrated effort where the employees truly like what they do! Kudos to manager Richard for clearly treating the employees like family and the customers get to reap the benefits!
