The grouper was delicious, the wine was great, the Philly steak was perfect. The only thing better than the food and wine was Jam, our lovely server. She laughed and joked with us, gave us an honest opinion concerning our questions. It was refreshing to have such an attentive and down to earth server. A plus!

Rachel was our server and she was awesome! My wife and I knew immediately upon be greeted by her that she was going to be a perfect server. She anticipated what we needed before we asked; she was also genuine and warm. We not only loved her but the vibe in the Cotton Exchange Tavern. Most of the walls are rustic stone from centuries ago when this location was part of the cotton trade along the Savannah river. Even though the building is historic, it was neat and clean. We arrived about :45 before closing and the floor was clean, the table was clean and when guests next to us left, I watched Rachel grab a broom and dust pan and sweep up to make sure it was prepared for the next diners. (Seriously – management needs to know how great she is. Pay her more! Lol) My wife ordered the fried catfish dinner and I went with fried shrimp. Everything about our respective dinners was perfect. The fish was flaky and moist; the shrimp were succulent and butterflied; it’s nigh impossible to beat crinkle cut fries, and the coleslaw and hush puppies were both great. We had a ghost tour to take so we passed on dessert, but my wife said to add this to the list for the next time we travel to Savannah. Don’t pass up this gem with such great views of the river!

Wow! We stopped here on a drive from FL to NC, the hostess was quick and kind and got us a table at the bar. The staff was so kind even with a busy Monday night, even the customers were nice.

The food is simply delicious. Our server Adam made great recommendations and we were not disappointed. (Low country boil is a combination of shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes and cole slaw. The other top choice was cajun tortellini. This plate was exquisite). We also order calamari and the fried green tomatoes. Omg, the tomatoes were so yummy with the sauce. Lastly, I also recommend trying the GA beer. When in town visit this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

This place on very bisy street, where a lot of tourists walking and enjoying of historic experience. Reastaurant was busy, but it’s not surprised. We had to sit very fast. The service was very good. The place inside looks like an old tavern, which I very like it))) So what about food? It’s was delicious, special, I love soup and scallops. So if in future I stop by Savanah, I definitely come back.

This place was TOP for us. Our food was amazing my Cobb salad was one of the best cob salads I ever had. Not being from the south I love unsweetened ice tea so I asked my waitress if they had that she says yes they did and laughed because how I asked so we joke about how I’m not from the south so no sweetener needed. Then my husband burger he says was AMAZING being made fresh makes it even better. We will be back when we visit Savanah again 1000% A+

Parking is very hard to find, but lunch made the hassle worth it. The peel and eat shrimp and blackened reddish were excellent. Great service and cozy atmosphere.

They were busy in the afternoon, so the outside seating was my quick option. My server was very attentive and sweet. I ordered the crab soup and a fried green tomato BLT sandwich with potato salad. The soup was amazing. It had lots of crabmeat and was so flavorful. The BLT fried green tomato sandwich was good. I am frustrated when a sandwich isn’t properly built – everything needs to be spread out & plentiful enough so every bite gets a little bit of everything – this sandwich was not properly built. The potato salad was boring. If I had only ordered the soup, this would be a 5 star rating.

Dinner on a Thursday night- no wait at all- arrived and was greeted at hostess stand by 2 sweet girls. Seated right away and greeted by an attentive server that brought out drinks quickly. The amaretto sour was strong- no watered down drinks here! Ordered shrimp and grits and salmon. Both meals came out in good time. Both meals were absolutely fabulous! The shrimp and grits had a rich saucy gravy which is not typical of shrimp and grits- but very delicious!! The salmon was perfectly cooked- still very tender and the side items were deliciously prepared.
